Spirited Away Epilogue
Hi everyone!!! I'm really, really sorry for NOT updating my other stories. I've already written out most of the chapters by hand, but I hardly have time to actually type things out.
Well, I was watching Spirited Away (in Japanese, of course) the other day, and I got really mad because Haku says that they'll see each other again, but they don't! The movie just cuts off! So... in honor of the movie 'Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi' or 'Spirited Away,' I have written a brief epilogue. It's a very, very basic oneshot. Again, I apologize for not updating. I'm almost done typing the next chapter, so it should be up within the next week. (I say that now, but who knows when it will actually happen... -_-# I'm a horrible author...) Well, please feel free to critique this story. ^_^"
Chihiro stared into the tunnel, the memories of her adventures running through her mind.
"Chihiro, let's go!" her mother called. With a final gaze into the tunnel, the girl ran to the car and jumped in. Her father turned on the engine and drove away to their new home.
6 years later, Chihiro hair grew longer, but she still kept it tied up in a ponytail with her purple hair-band. She was no longer the whiny little girl from when she first moved into the neighborhood, but a beautiful young woman with several boys fawning over her. Of course, she rejected all of them, secretly waiting for the person she loved to come her way.
Soon after leaving the Spirit World and returning to the Human World, Chihiro met several people, one of whom was named Mei-Lin. She was of Chinese descent and preferred the name Lin. She acted just like the Lin from the Spirit World and was about the same age even. She was Chihiro's elementary school's basketball coach. Even in high school, Chihiro often visited her.
Today was the day the new student was transferring. It was already halfway through the school year. All of the other students were loudly wondering who the new boy was. They had somehow obtained information about him. Chihiro paid them no mind.
Instead, she reviewed her notes. After her adventures in the Spirit World, she had become a hard worker and earned very high grades now. A few moments passed and the teacher walked into the room.
"Everyone, calm down!" he ordered. He was the teacher everyone was scared of, so of course, everyone sat down quietly. "Now," he continued, "let's have our new classmate come in and introduce himself. Kohaku, you can come in now."
Chihiro's ears perked up when she heard that name. Memories instantly began to flood her mind, memories of the Spirit World and the river spirit who helped her survive there.
The classroom door opened to reveal a boy standing just outside. He had dark hair that shined a nice, glossy green color. His eyes were almond-shaped and were a bright green. He seemed like a very kind, traditional Japanese high school boy.
The new student walked into the classroom and introduced himself. "Hello," he bowed, "my name is Kohaku Midorikawa. I used to be Kohaku Nigihayami, but my parents got a divorce and now I live with my mother. Please feel free to call me Haku. Yoroshikuonegaishimasu." He bowed again, to show his respect for the class. Every movement he made seemed very graceful.
"Alright Koha - I mean, Haku, you can sit over there," the teacher instructed. The boy bowed once more and sat in the seat; it was right next to Chihiro's.
"Hello, I'm Haku" the boy whispered to her while the teacher began lecturing, "I kept my promise, Sen."
Chihiro smiled, tears glistening in her eyes. "Yeah. I missed you."
