Disclaimer: I do not own Codename: Kids Next Door
Hello! This is my very first story. I'm a little nervous about posting this, and I am sorry if I made some careless mistakes. Please, please, please read and review this story to tell me what you think! I need as much feedback as possible before I continue this. I'm sorry that this is so short, I just wanted to see what everyone thinks so far. If it is too cliched, boring, annoying, predicable, etc. don't be afraid to tell me. Thank you.

The night could last forever
Leave the sunshine out
And say hello to never"
-After Hours- The Velvet Underground
Kuki Sanban paced the floor of Abigail Lincoln's carpeted bedroom floor for the eighth time, glancing at the little white stick that rested on Abby's dresser.
Abby studied her friend's face. The sixteen year old Kuki was the most elegant person that she had ever seen. Flawless skin, delicate features, small, dark eyes, thick black hair that framed her face perfectly. Although Kuki and Abby had known each other for nine years, Abby had never seen Kuki this way before. The rosy pink that colored her cheeks had disappeared, her immense smile seemed to have been lost forever. Abby couldn't imagine the pain she must have been experiencing.
Abby stretched out on her bed and picked at a loose thread on the bedspread. She wondered what she would do in this situation. Even though Kuki was her best friend, and she definitely emphasized with her, she couldn't help but feel as if Kuki had brought this on herself. She was old enough to know better.
The egg timer dinged shrilly, snapping Kuki and Abby out of their thoughts.
Three minutes had passed.
The looked at each other and froze.
The silence in the room was deafening.
It took them a few minutes to get up…
Kuki (with Abby looking over her shoulder) picked up the stick and inspected it. She dropped it and staggered back until she landed on Abby's bed.
Kuki sighed and met her friend's eyes. With panic in her voce, she said the obvious. "I'm pregnant."
