A/N: This is going to be a series of short one-shots, taking place immediately after the Season 4 finale, "Freedom." The first one is what happens after the Callie/Erica kiss. I'll continue to post a few more, ranging from Lexie/George, Alex/Izzie, Der/Mer, etc. Hope you enjoy!
Touch
Another kiss.
Erica and Callie were standing outside of Seattle Grace this time as Callie smiled against Erica's supple lips. This kiss was much different than the last they had shared – it was much better. The kiss in the elevator – cramped inside with Mark Sloan, of all people – had been much more one-sided than the one they shared outside the hospital, Mark near by, as usual. Yes, the kiss inside the infamous SGH elevator was a lot more one-sided because Callie had some issues to work out. Such as the fact that she was falling for her best friend. Who happened to be a girl.
Not so common in Callie's books.
She didn't care now, though. Not one bit. As long as she got to do this – continue kiss her – she couldn't make it bother her. As she slid her tongue into the recesses of Erica's mouth in exploration, Callie realized that she would have to thank Mark later.
The kissing continued for quite some time, and Callie was hardly complaining. Erica's lips were soft and warm against hers, and the feeling of Erica's smooth skin underneath Callie's fingertips sent shocking sensation through her body.
Finally, the need for air became too much, and Erica broke the kiss, much to Callie's displeasure. Callie's breathing was labored as she searched Erica's face for possible traces of regret. She found none. Lust-filled eyes that mirrored hers were all she could see.
Callie's hand trailed down Erica's arm and grabbed her willing fingers, interlocking themselves with hers. Not knowing what to say, Callie waited with baited breath.
Erica's words were slow and hesitant. "Not that I minded it in the least, but…what was that about, exactly?"
Callie bit her lip. "I think you know what it was about, Erica."
Erica raised her eyebrows and waited for the brunette to continue.
Callie sighed in frustration – her friend was really making it hard on her. "Are you really going to make me say it?"
The light squeeze of coming from Erica's hand was all the confidence Callie needed.
"I want to be with you." The words fell from Callie's lips without censor or regret.
Erica's coy smile widened. "Good," she spoke. "Because you're not the only one who feels that way, Torres."
Callie couldn't hold back her grin. "Don't call me that." She swatted the blonde playfully.
Erica conceded with a shrug of her shoulders. "So…" she began – the coy smile still playing on her lips, "My place or yours?"
