Jingle bells
On the 15th of December Santana and Brittany finally found time to put decorations up in Brittany's house. Santana was home from New York for the holidays and the two girls finally decided to be festive together.
Christmas music blasted from Brittany's iPod as Jingle bells was played on repeat. Santana sighed as the repetitive song started again and gave her girlfriend a pleading look.
"Can't we listen to different Christmas music?" She asked as she climbed down from the ladder. She picked up another decoration and started climbing the ladder again to hang it.
"Jingle bells is the most iconic Christmas song and we shall listen to it until we are finished" the blonde haired girl replied without even giving Santana a second glance.
"Brit, I love you, I really do, but if you play jingle bells one more time I'm going to kill you" Santana said as Brittany looked over at her in horror. The taller girl was quick to change the song on her iPod into Last Christmas by Wham!
Santana smiled proudly at her girlfriend and even bent down from her position on the ladder to give her a quick kiss. She started humming along to the song as she continued to decorate.
Brittany pouted for a few minutes before she gave up and started singing along as well. The two danced around the room hanging decorations here and there and giving each other a quick kiss when they came into contact.
After five songs Santana was once again on the ladder hanging a silver decoration from the ceiling. Unfortunately she hadn't put the ladder close enough to the part of the ceiling she was reaching. When she tried to reach and hang the decoration she felt the ladder start to wobble. Before she could climb down her feet slipped off of the ladder and she found herself falling to the ground.
However, she never made contact with the floor as she felt two arms catch her from her fall. When she opened her eyes again she saw Brittany looking down at her with worried eyes.
"Santana you have to be more careful!" She exclaimed and helped her girlfriend to stand up straight again.
"Thank god you were there to catch me" Santana sighed and hugged the other girl with all her might.
"I might not be the smartest girl but at least I can protect you" Brittany replied and kiss Santana on the nose before walking over to the Christmas tree.
"You know I love you right?" Santana asked in a small voice. She didn't like saying the words but when she was with Brittany she felt as if she could say it as easy as 'hello'.
"I know. I love you too" Brittany replied and lifted Santana's hand to give it a small kiss.
Brittany wasn't the most intelligent girl in the world but she had a heart of gold and knew exactly how to look after the women she loved.
