Introduction

Yuuko felt a chill as the man with an all-too-familiar presence entered her shop for the very first time. She had been expecting this to happen, but that didn't stop the inevitable pain that shot through her heart when she saw him. She was used to Watanuki looking like that man, but this was far too much. His soul, his memories, his power... they had all belonged to him.

But, as with any customer, Yuuko looked at him eye-to-eye and said, "Welcome."

She did not smile. She did not need to.

He gave a low bow in return and responded, "Good evening, Yuuko-san. It is a pleasure to meet you."

The irony was stifling.

After taking a long drag from her tobacco pipe, Yuuko asked him mechanically, "If you are here, then you must have a wish." Smoke trailed from her lips as the words flowed from her mouth- a symbol of how the decay of time had no effect on her body.

Then, Eriol smiled at her. It was that sickeningly polite, know-it-all smile which brought back so many memories she had foolishly thought she didn't have to deal with ever again.

"You don't have to be so formal, Yuuko-san. I do have a wish, but... I was thinking that we could talk- about old times."

She hated him all over again.

AN: Just to have something to update on here, I've decided to do the 100 challenge. So whenever I feel the need to fanfic drabble, I'll update this. I was a little bit disappointed that a scenario like this never got to pop up in xxxHolic or Tsubasa. I think it would've been interesting to see how their characters would've reacted to each other.
