Orihime sighed as she stared blankly at the ceiling. She could already tell that it was one of those sleepless nights she had been having lately due too much thinking.

She had a feeling that if one of her classmates would find out she not been able to sleep due too much thinking their jaws would probably hit the floor so hard they'd knock themselves out.

Orihime giggled a little at the though before resuming her previous activity of staring blankly at the ceiling. After all people are rarely who they appear to be. To her classmates she was Orihime Inoue: The pretty orange haired girl who was simple minded but quite intelligent at school. But then another good example would be Kurosaki Ichigo who would have thought that big and mean scowling hollow killer Kurosaki Ichigo and pretty and delicate looking Kuchiki Rukia (can also be affixed with hollow killer) would fall in love in with each other?

She sighed once more as she thought of the cause of her sleepless nights. She had long felt it was inevitable that they would get together but knowing beforehand had not prepared her for the bouts of sadness and jealousy she had been enduring. Matsumoto Rangiku had once said it was alright to feel like that but Orihime still felt guilty. They were two of her closest friends right? She should be happy for them! Right? Or so she told herself repeatedly.

Now every time met the two of them together. Both parties would look away guiltily and then proceed to greet each other awkwardly.

Orihime didn't know how long she lay there or whether she fell asleep or not. The next thing she could remember was seeing the sun rise

Slowly it rose spreading a pinkish hue along the clouds painfully reminding her of Kurosaki Ichigo. As she sat up bathe by the gentle early morning light she thought of the times he had made her heart skip a beat. The times he would look at her his gaze not filled with the love she so desperately wanted for that was reserved for Kuchiki Rukia but instead was always filled with concern.

Standing she smiled sadly at the pinkish clouds that continued to float across the sky. She had reached a conclusion.

She'd rather stay friends with the two of them than envy them from afar. She'd try to move on. No matter how much it would hurt because that was the only way she could go on life happily. It might hurt painfully at the start but she a feeling it would be worth it in the end.

Because that is how you should really love somebody. Loving selflessly that seeing the person happy should make you happy. Even when it's not with you.

"It'll taste bittersweet" Orihime said softly as she looked up the clouds "Just like some strawberries".
