A/N: Yet another TATE drabble with a bit of Tony/Jeanne. Please read and review.
"Life's too short not to say 'I love you', Tony." As Paula said this Tony's face went blank. His mind flashed back, going through the events of two years ago. The plague and the rooftop. He should have learned from his mistake. By the time he had told Kate it was too late. He never wanted to make that mistake again. Why couldn't he tell Jeanne? It was because he still wasn't over Kate, the love of his life. He would never be over Kate but he did need to move on. Jeanne reminded him of Kate so much.
As she opened the door he said it in his mind, hoping that where ever he was she could hear, "I love you so much Kate and I hope you understand. I love Jeanne but you will always take first place in my heart. Even though you're dead I still love you but I need to move on with my life as you're not coming back." Jeanne and Tony were both standing in the door way now. "I love you." Was all Tony said as he kissed and hugged Jeanne. Kate looked over from where she was standing, always next to Tony, being his guardian angel. "I love you too Tony, and I understand."
