Batman is locked up in a secured basement. The Commissioner is tied up. The Joker slowly approaches The Commissioner and spoke, "Time. To. Wake. UP!" while tapping him.
"Huh? What's happening? Where am I?"
"I'm glad you asked. I have you tied up as you can see. Oh and before I forget, I brought a guest over. I hope you don't mind, but I think you will LOVE her."
"DADDY!" shouted Barbra.
"BARBRA" shouted The Commissioner.
"Oh, what a lovely family reunion!" taunted the Joker.
A heavy, black figure drops down near a shadow.
"Just in time" says the Joker. "Take another step and Gotham will have to elect a new Commissioner."
Batman throws a batarang at the Joker's hand. He quickly leaps into action untying The Commissioner while Barbra gets out of the knot by herself. Joker then gets his gang to shoot at the Batman. All of them were taken down with a single batarang.
"Maybe next time, hire some thugs with more aiming skills" Barbra advised.
"I know. As the Black Knight would say, 'Tis but a distraction'" announced the Joker while laughing hilariously. He takes out a gun and shoots Barbra in the same area that paralyzed her.
"NO!" shouted The Commissioner. He is then shot in his stomach.
"Hold up, Batman is not here? That is strange, even for me," said the Joker. He was then taken into a shadow with his mouth sealed. Joker quickly grabs his gun and shoots Batman twice.
"It was fun while it lasted."
He takes off Batman's cowl to reveal that Bruce Wayne was under the cowl. As Joker takes his mask off, he gets electrocuted, but pushes through the pain. He points his gun at a slowed-down Batman.
"I have been waiting for this day for the longest of times" said the Joker calmly. "I just never expected some like YOU to be him"
"You won't do it" replied Batman running out of breath, "you wouldn't do it. Remember? I complete you, and you said it yourself!"
"Tell that to Thomas and Martha" responded Joker.
"Not today" said Bruce.
Three automatic batarangs eject from his right gauntlet. Two more eject from his left gauntlet. All five hit the Joker. Bruce takes the gun and points it at him.
"Hehehehehehaha" laughed the Joker, slowly and painfully, "Whaddya gonna do, kill me? You'll break your number one rule,"
Bruce explains, "I won't. In fact, I'm done with you. I'm supposed to be a role model for the citizens of Gotham, sworn to fight for justice. I am the hero. I can't kill you."
"Ha. Ha. Ha," laughed the Joker slowly and weakly. "I knew it. You are indeed a coward."
"But," He continues as he put his cowl back on, "I don't have to save you either!" in a deep, gravelly, electronic voice "and you don't deserve to LIVE!"
Bruce, now dark and immoral, throws the Joker out the window.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" laughs the Joker. Bruce ejects his last batarangs directly at the Joker's head. The Batman then bleeds out from his gunshots and is unconscious.
"Today, on a sad note, the Batman has died. Fortunately, however, the criminal known as the Joker is gone. Coincidentally, billionaire Bruce Wayne has died tonight reportedly by none other than the Batman himself. His butler, Alfred Pennyworth has some words to share for this tragedy"
It then transitions to a speech from Alfred Pennyworth himself on live television.
"Thank you, all of you, for your help and support," says Alfred. "It is unfortunate that the Bruce Wayne passed away. For years, the man you knew as Bruce Wayne has always had a secret, a secret about him that only I knew…" Alfred paused for a moment. "Bruce Wayne, before he killed himself…he killed the Batman." Alfred leaves and his followed by reporters and others.
It then pans out into a television screen, but all of a sudden, a boxing glove breaks the T.V.
"Speak for yourself Alfred. You're next. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Stay tuned for the upcoming sequel, Dawn of the Knight
