"Ugh! Damn it Lu! How can you keep getting yourself hurt?" She groaned picking up the grinning injuried idiot, sprawled at her front door. "And why do you keep coming to me after you're hurt?"
"Because Gramps will give me one of his love punches and Ace will just laugh at me for being weak. Besides you'll feed me." Luffy said, flashing Sanjiko his widest grin. He had gotten into an accident playing with some gunpowder at Usopp's and came kicking on her door for help.
With her cigarette clamped between her lips, she grinder her teeth looking at her younger friend. "Damn it Luffy! I can't fix you up when you're bleeding like this! What the fuck happened?"
"Gunpowder and Usopp." He said, explaining. Sanjiko groaned, fingers at her temple easing out the headache coming. Idiots!
"Anyway we're heading to the hospital. No buts." Her voice a firm, stern bark. Luffy just pouted at her, and gave her his puppy eyes look. "Nope. Not working." She grabbed her coat and keys and dragged the injuried Luffy out towards the car. The journey to the hospital was a short one as Sanjiko drove probably way over the speed limit and kind of went pass a couple of red lights.
She dragged Luffy out, conning him with the prospect of food to the front counter. As she was approaching the door, she met a young boy probably no older than sixteen standing by the door chatting with some nurses. "Um excuse me, could you direct me to the A&E?"
The young boy, turned and his expression became frantic. "What happened?" He started fussing about Luffy.
"Nothing, idiot got into an accident." She said staring daggers at the still grinning idiot.
"Come with me." The young boy said and she followed thinking he was bringing them to the A&E. But as they walked further into the hospital, she felt strange the boy was in fact not bringing them there but into a
private room for doctors.
"Um, sorry but I need to get this idiot fixed up."
"It's alright. I'm a doctor with this hospital. I'm doctor Tony Chopper."
A doctor? She was surprised. He was very young, or looked very young. He sat Luffy down and checked his vitals, poking and prodding him everywhere. Finally he cleaned up Luffy's wounds and bandaged him up.
"There! All good now."
"Whoa! You're amazing!" Luffy said excitedly.
"Bastard, praising me won't make me happy." Though he did, in fact, look happy.
"I'm Sanjiko and this is Luffy. Nice to meet you, doctor Chopper."
"Please call me Chopper. Nice to meet you too."
And that's how they met the very young doctor who was shy and an amazing doctor.
