Carol hadn't meant to listen in on them, she had just been passing by when she heard them speak.

"He doesn't ever listen, he keeps wandering off no matter what me and Lori tell him to stay put." ah, Carl the boy had a hankering for wandering off and ending up in places he didn't belong.

"Easy just kick him in the ass and tell him to listen." Daryl snorted.

Rick smirked "Easy for you to say, you don't have kids."

"I was a dad once." he murmured, and she almost didn't hear it but she saw how the hand holding onto his crossbow strap reached over to touch the spot over his heart, his face stoic but his eyes flashed in pain. Rick didn't give any inclination that he had heard the wild-man but she knew the spot her touched, over his heart where a tattoo was placed with one name which held no meaning to the rest of them. A meaning she now knew.

I promised a Drabble off of a Dr. Who line and here it is (not related to the Rose one-shots I have floating around ) Yes I know about Norman's tattoos, I bend one of them in this drabble after all they appear in TWD and they wouldn't hold the same significance in their world as it does ours.

This is based off a conversation Rose Tyler and the Tenth Doctor have in the Episode Fear Her in this Rick quotes Rose and Daryl The Doctor.

I told you people I'm evil.

No, this one will not be continued, ever. No sequels prequels don't ask.
