[ONE-SHOT 'I was just dreaming.' 'How so?' Teddy and Victoire. -quiterie
He had just kissed her.
He had just kissed his almost cousin two years his junior.
Teddy Lupin was quite sure that facing the world was the very last thing that he wanted to do, let alone trying to face her. That was the reason why he was lying underneath of his covers, trying to forget the fact that anything existed.
Knock, knock.
'Go away.'
'Don't make me blast the door down Teddy." Her voice was almost cheerful. Teddy could hardly breathe. He sat silently for a few moments, contemplating his options.
'It's open.' Teddy sat up in his bed, a miserable expression on his face. Victoire walked in, and closed the door behind her with a click. For a few moments, there was silence.
'So that was…' Victoire fumbled over words. 'That was…the truth?'
Teddy looked everywhere but her eyes.
'Yeah.'
More silence.
'Doesn't the truth usually set you free?' Teddy couldn't help but look into her eyes. She was so calm, so Victoire.
'So, if that's the case, why do you look so miserable, and why in Merlin's name are you hiding out in your dormitory?'
'Isn't it obvious?' His voice was bitter, 'I was just dreaming.'
'How so?' Teddy cursed the fact that Victoire was the calm Weasley.
'Vic, you're two years younger than me.'
'And?'
'You obviously don't feel the same way.'
'What ever gave you that impression?' Her voice was still calm, and still impossible to read.
'It's obvious.' Teddy couldn't bear to look at her. Victoire moved and sat next to him on the bed, resting her hand right next to his. He wasn't sure he could be so close to her.
'Is it?'
Victoire leaned in gently and brushed her lips against his. Teddy was much too shocked to do anything, much like Victoire had been during that first kiss.
'Really Teddy, I thought you knew me better.'
'But Vic, you're fifteen.' It took him forever to get any words out.
Victoire leaned in again, but this time see was met with a reaction. Teddy pulled her closer by her waist and deepened the kiss. Victoire broke it off and smiled.
'Now that is obvious.'
