I don't own FMA. I only own Alias.

The silent drift of the white snow and dim street light's broke the clouded sky, as he, Edward Elirc walked alone on the streets of Central.

The apartment he lived in with Alphonse was only a few streets away... Yet he felt as if he didn't want to spend a New Years Eve alone as Al was visiting Winry.

A child with a cello case strapped to their back ran across the street to a small house with a brightly lit small window.

Opening the door the sound of a piano let loose though out the one quite street.

Walking across the street out of curiosity Ed looked into the little window.

He saw that a table was set neatly with children from about five to twelve sitting around the table as a woman with long blond hair that reached to the back of her legs held by the end with a blue ribbon and deep amber eyes walked around the small kitchen tending to the recipes cooking on the stove.

The curtains shut as Ed dropped to the ground avoiding being seen by any of the children.

"Interesting night I presume?" A soft yet strong voice asked from behind him as he started to walk away.

"I guess..." Ed said back still turned stopping in his tracks.

"Well it's almost the New Year. Go spend the last hour with family and friends." The person on the other side of his back said cheerfully.

"Well if they were able to come then I would."

"Your family turned their backs on you or are you such a scrooge that you don't want to spend the last day with family?" This time it was a friendly mocking ring to the person's soft voice.

Edward thought about what they said and started laughing.

"You know what. Your right! I think I should spend New Years with people!" Calming down Edward turned to see the woman in a short black jacket wearing blue jeans and a white shirt with fingerless dark red gloves.

"I'm Edward by the way." He said holding out his hand "Alias" the woman said taking his hand and leading him to the door.

Swinging it open the night slipped by in Ed's mind.

He had so much fun with Alias and the children on New Years Eve.

The night was over and the count down began.

Flutes of warm cider were handed out and Alias stood and started her speech.

"Well the year went by fast and we have the last few minutes to our selfs. I just want to say may the next year be better than this. Hopefully we can actually find a better place to live, but we all know that wont happen as we all love out lives!" The children laughed at this.

Ed thought that her place was pretty, cozy and reminded him of his house.

When the new year came the children went off to bed and Edward stood to leave.

"Hey Ed before you go. I know it's not Christmas... I just wanted you to have this." Alias handed him a mixed red scarf made out of scraps of other red cloths. To say though it was actually pretty sweet.

Edward's face flushed as he put it on thanking her. "Well good luck out there Alias. Maybe we will meet again." He said hopefully knowing that as soon as the sun rose they would forget about each other.

The sun rose over the city, but he didn't forget about her. "I wont forget her. Not now not ever." Ed told himself as he sat in the small apartment alone.

The time might come where we will meet again

Well I had fun writing this special fan fic. I had just finished reading a Christmas Carol and thought about this. Today is the beginning of a new year! Sorry it might have came a little late. Blame my mind.
