Alright, so chapter one of the REDO and I hope you guys will enjoy. The chapters are fairly short so I'll update at least once a week until it's finished. Thank you guys for reading! Let me know what you guys think! Disclaimer: I don't own VA just one character and my story line!

I don't even realize I'm awake until it occurs to me that the slimy feeling in my throat is nausea. In a move that can only be accredited to my training lands me in front of the toilet before whatever contents my stomach had managed to hold empties into the bowl.

My stomach knots and heaves painfully for a few minutes before I manage to lean back and breathe. I groan softly and try to calm my racing heart. When I can, I get up to flush the toilet before I force myself in front of the mirror. My reflection isn't as bad as I thought it would be. My skin is a bit pale and clammy but I've certainly had worse.

That in mind I brush my teeth and wash my face just as Lissa tugs on my side of the bond at the same time as she knocks on my door. Before I can tell her to give me a second she walks in and pops her head into the bathroom to find me in a tank top and underwear, toothbrush still in my mouth.

"Oh good! You're up! I heard that some new kids are coming to school today and I want us to greet them when they come in for breakfast!" She practically chirps. I roll my eyes at her cheerfulness before rinsing my mouth and tooth brush off.

"Sure Lis, let me get dressed and we can go." I say as I start pulling on my clothes. As I follow her out the door I pull my hair up into a high pony tail.

Our table is already crowded with our group, Adrian lounging lazily his eyes surprisingly clear for once as he laughs with Christian who seems to be telling some story with avid attention. Eddie and Mia seem wrapped up in their own conversation, Mia talks happily and Eddie has a small smile on his face.

I feel the responding smile tugging on my face before I let my gaze sweep past the posted guardians on the wall. I spot Dimitri and shoot him a convert wink only to chuckle as he pretends not to notice.

I follow Lissa into the feeders' room and I can't help the small flinch that accompanies the swimming nausea in my stomach. A small pain builds behind my eyes so I close them and lean against the wall while Lissa does her thing. When she finishes I take the lead to the line and grab some breakfast, a bagel with an apple.

"Good morning all!" Lissa chirps as we make our way to the table. Everyone returns the good morning to us both as I smile before taking a bite from my apple.

We're all debating the possibility of Alberta and Stan being a thing when the doors of the cafeteria all but slam open.

The hairs on the back of my neck all stand on end and I can't help the feeling of dread the rolls in my stomach.

Rose! It's the new kids! Lis all but squeals in my mind, suddenly so excited at the prospect of meeting new people she almost can't control herself.

"I'm going to go say hello!" She announced as she stands up abruptly. Without a thought I stand and follow her to the three strangers standing in the doorway.

The girl... the one in the center seems to draw every eye. She's tall and slim like all moroi but something about the piercing blue almost seems grey in their intense scrutiny. Those same eyes echo menacingly in the younger boy standing to her left, he appears to be younger than me by perhaps a year or two but something about him sets me on edge.

If I thought the younger boy was bad… he had nothing on the Guardian beside them. His face… something about his face was so devoid… not in a guardian mask type of way… but in a way that tickled the back of my mind with it's familiarity.

Without conscious thought I feel myself pulling up my mental shields but the sickening feeling of apprehension refused to leave me. Lissa was already making introductions by the time I snapped back into reality.

"This is my best friend, Rose Hathaway." I hear this just in time to force a smile and tilt my head at the trio in greeting from my spot just behind and to the right of Lissa.

"it's lovely to meet the two of you, my name is Avery Lazar, this is my brother Reed," The younger boy nods. "And my guardian, Simon." His eyes seem to catch mine and something about him makes my breath catch subtly, something in his eyes...

"Why don't you guys come sit with us and meet the rest of our friends!" Though Lissa's tone is chipper as always. Something about the soft dreamy undertone sets of alarms in my head.

"That sounds amazing, don't you think?" The question is directed to the younger brother who merely grunts.

Lissa takes Avery's hand and leads her to our table, Simon melts into the back ground with the other guardians and Reed follows behind the two girls while I bring up the rear. Something about them… it's off… but familiar… what could it be?

I take my time getting to the table but when I get there everyone is enraptured by this new girl. Eyes wide and attentive as she introduces herself the only one who seems to lean away in distaste is Christian.

Chris looks at me imploringly as he gazes around at our friends and I shake my head and shrug. I don't get it.

Avery is sitting in my spot beside Lissa and Adrian so I sit by Chris who watches the interactions around the table with the same intensity as me.

Over the next thirty minutes we watch our friends watch the moroi with wonder filled eyes as her little brother's mood seems to darken by the second.

"Christian, we need to get to class." I say softly, he nods distantly. "Lissa are you coming?" I feel annoyance flash in the bond seeing as I interrupted something that Avery was saying.

"No, I'm going to show Avery to her classes." She says in her princess tone… one that I'd heard Moroi take when speaking down on guardians, a tone I never thought I'd hear from Lissa.

Something is wrong… terribly wrong. I have to fix it before it's too late.
