My first fic in the matrix section. This is set from after the first matrix onwards. I submitted this to my English teacher today, and I thought I might get some more feedback on it from here. If you like the style and can stomach Star Wars, I have a piece like this in that section that also needs feedback. I would be thankful for any reviews on either one.

"Resentment is like swallowing poison and waiting for the other person to die". Anonymous
I hate you. I hate everything about you. Your confident stance, your cold voice, your expressionless face, which I see so often. You drove me to the water and you're making me go farther. I'm going under and I can't swim.
It's amazing how eloquent someone can be when their pushed to their limits. This person is an example. Whether young or old, rich or poor, it doesn't matter now. They are nobody. The nobody holds a small bottle in their hands, sealed tight. The skull and crossbones on the label look like they could be dangerous. You took my heart, you took my soul, you look my life, and now I'm going to take yours. The nobody fumbles with the seal on the bottle, cold hands numbly pawing at it.
I had everything, I was everything, I could do anything...And you took it all from me. The hands scrabble on smooth glass.
I'll be watching when you die, and I'll be the one laughing. I'll be watching...The seal finally breaks. With hands that are remarkably steady, the nobody raises the bottle to their lips.
To my good health... The nobody drain the bottle.
And your death. They let it roll away across the floor. A sparrow alights near by, eying the bottle. The nobody draws themselves deeper into their shadow.
I'll strip away the world that you have made for yourself. You'll stand alone. All alone, and no one will save you. They feel cold, ice slowly branching from the hole where there would be a heart.
You'll be cold, you'll be alone, you'll be miserable. You will have nothing. You will be nothing. Your mind will be gone, leaving an empty shell. The nobody convulses, a small, deathly sound that could possibly be laughter floats through the air.
The world will forget about you. You will be no one to them. Another convulsion. Another laugh.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Clouds darken overhead.
I'll be the one laughing. I'll knock over your gravestone, and you'll know it was me. I'll be watching you waste away into nothing. The sparrow hops towards the bottle, ignoring the nobody sitting in the corner.
It starts to rain.
You took the world from me and now I'm taking it back. The nobody's vision starts to blur.
It's my world now. Mine. You are no one. The nobody slumps forward, breathing slowly.
...Who's got the last laugh now? The sparrow takes off in a flutter of tiny wings.
The rain keeps falling.
