Today was the day.
You never knew how exciting yet terrifying such a day could be.
V decided to give into Jumin's insistent pleads of getting his eyes fixed. You couldn't say that you surprised though. These last three years that you knew him, granted you two being married for two of them, you could tell that your husband was becoming less and less refusing of the idea of the eye surgery.
You never held secrets against him, and neither did V, so you knew that he was insistent of being physically blind for the sake of Rika. The thought of it nearly ate away at your brain, that he wanted to miss out of theses amazing opportunities to fix his eyes, just because of her. Even though you expressed your concerns hundreds of times, V always reminded you that he loved you to pieces, and that she had nothing on you. You were amazing in every possible way, and he didn't need to see your face to know that.
However, the idea of being able to see you and your face had always crossed V's mind from time to time, tempting him into the idea, which ultimately pushed him farther along into the acceptance of surgery.
So that is the reason why you are currently sitting in a waiting room of a hospital, waiting for your husband to get out of surgery.
Of course this being such a scary situation, you were on the edge of your seat hoping for the surgery to turn out successful. Luckily, all the RFA members sat there with you, telling you that everything was going to turn out fine and that you worried too much. Even Yoosung, who was reluctant to tag along since him and V didn't have the best relationship after everything that happened with Rika. However, you knew that he would be there for you, and he was.
"Mrs. Kim?"
Your head shoots up at the voice of the surgeon who was responsible for treating V's surgery. Quickly, you stand and walk towards him, nearly having an anxiety attack at the thought of something going wrong.
However, the doctor smiled. "Hi, I can assume your Jihyun's spouse, correct?"
You nodded your head, making the motion for him to continue.
"Well, there's no need to worry. The surgery went smoothly. However, we will need to wait a little while before removing the bandages to truly see if everything thing turned out successful."
You nodded again before asking the doctor the question that immediately popped into your mind.
"So does this mean that he can see... without any restrictions?"
"We cannot know for sure until we actually take the bandages off. I will say though, that if the surgery went the way we were planning for, then he will be able to see fine without limitations." The doctor explained while looking back towards the other RFA members that stood anxiously behind you.
You sighed, not exactly relieved with his answer. "Thank you..."
"Of course, ma'am. If you liked to see him now, you may. However, he is asleep." The doctor added before mentioning, "But please, I advise you to only have one person in there at a time so that when he does wake, he is not overwhelmed."
"Yes, of course. I understand." You say before turning around and explaining the situation to the others. Quickly, you make way to his temporary hospital room.
As you enter the room, your eyes immediately look towards your husband, who is sleeping soundly in his hospital bed with bandages over both eyes.
Slowly, you walk towards the chair that sat beside the bed and reached for his hand.
