A/N: Well, here we are again. I came up with the idea for this one a month ago, and I decided today that I should actually write it. My dear friend and beta, Carmen, put up with me for the past few hours while I attempted to get the wording on this exactly how I wanted it. I hope you enjoy the result.

Hunny was the first to ask for Haruhi's hand. He presented her with a massive cake. It was roughly the size of a horse. Haruhi politely refused and reminded him that she did not like sweets much. Hunny bounced back from the rejection by polishing off the whole cake in less than five minutes.
Mori was the next. He offered her a fine white gold bracelet enveloped in sapphires, and promises to always be her protector. Haruhi civilly rebuffed him by telling him while the gift was fine and the promise endearing, it was too fine a gift for her and she was quite sure she could take care of herself.
Kaoru was expectant that the third time would be the charm. He placed before her a ring, necklace, bracelet, broach and earrings, all finely cut rubies set in gleaming gold. He promised to take her all over the world with him, wherever his travels took him. Haruhi courteously declined and told him the gift was far too expensive and that while she would love to travel the world she would like it to be on her own terms, and not on someone's arm feeling like a piece of luggage.
Hikaru was hoping that his brother had softened her up. He lifted the lid off of the ring box, revealing a gaudy ring of an amethyst gem surrounded by diamonds. Along with the ring, he told her that he would hire the best chefs in the world to work in their kitchen and she could eat otoro every day. Haruhi pointedly reminded him that she could not be bought with jewelry and food like some sort of glutton.
Tamaki was certain that Haruhi had denied the others so that she could consent to his proposal. He held out his ring of a diamond that was almost the size of a yen piece in one hand and a bouquet of two-dozen crimson roses in the other. He held them out for her inspection while spewing promises of eternal love and never ending devotion. Haruhi felt he was the hardest so far to turn down because she could see the grief spread across his face as she told him that she could never own something so extravagant, let alone wear it every day. She kindly left out that she found it hard to believe his exclamations of undying love and perpetual devotion when the two of them were so different.
Kyoya arrived at her house early one morning. He was the first one with enough bravado to place his ring, a small silver band housing and emerald, on her finger before speaking a word. He told her that he loved her wit, appreciated her blunt words, and was infatuated with her mind. He assured her that he would not make excessive promises, and stated that as long as his conversations and intellect kept her interested, he would be hers to have. Haruhi touched the ring that was already in place on her finger as a small smile graced her face. She told him yes. He placed a kiss onto her lips while there was a small smirk upon his own.
