Author's Note: I'm wrote this in a sleepy-state. I intend for this story to be a series of one-shots - although I'm not sure which direction - yet - I will take it.
The Sun.
The sight before her was something she would never forget; one which forced her to gather air sharply into her lungs and cage it there. A sight which caused her eyes to widen slightly and disperse a single tear down the length of her face. What she saw made her heart beat accelerate - warming her body and adding color to her cheeks.
But the blush didn t matter. She wore it with pride, as she gazed at the unsuspecting female who was seated in the middle of the garden. Her most precious person. Oh, how she longed to reach out and take the woman into her arms - just to hold her and be held by her. But she couldn t. She had burned that bridge long ago and even now it was rare for them to talk to one another.
"How can you just sit there like that?" She finally snapped out, finding herself becoming filled with jealousy.
The seated woman turned swiftly in her seat, seeming shocked at the appearance of the other female. After a moment, the woman finally regained her composure and softly responded with: "Like what?"
"How can you sit there in the sun like that?"
"What is wrong with me sitting in the sun?" The seated female finally demanded.
"Everything!" The former cried, as more tears now streamed down her face. "I would kill to be able to touch you like the sun s rays do."
"Natsuki?" Shizuru finally called out, unable to believe her ears, or her eyes as she watched the blue haired woman wipe her tears away and walk off.
Author's Footnote: Yeah on the angsty side, but it gets better. Promise - and I intended it to be short like this. :P
