Roxas sat in the cool grass, arms wrapped around his knees, as he watched Axel hold a flame to the fuse of a firecracker. Axel stepped back and waited for it to explode. Roxas smiled at him as the firecracker exploded and Axel raised his arms in the air giving a shriek of excitement. Roxas loved watching him do this; the pure joy on his face was enough to make him melt.

Axel dropped down next to Roxas on the soft grass throwing an arm around him.

"How was that, Rox?"

Roxas smiled to himself and closed his eyes. Axel smelled of smoke and gunpowder. And he loved it.

"Amazing Axel."

Axel just laughed at Roxas pulled him a little closer. Axel brought his mouth next to Roxas' ear and whispered huskily, "Only you would find a few pathetic firecrackers 'amazing'."

Roxas smiled and turn to face Axel before pressing his lips to the redhead's. Axel smirked into the kiss before pushing Roxas back to lie on the ground. Axel pulled away their lips barely touching.

"I wasn't talking about the firecrackers."

Axel just laughed before kissing him again.
