"Well, here we are!" The Doctor said happily, and spun around to face Amy.
"And you said it's Christmas all year round here?" Amy beamed up at him.
"'Course it is, no way to get into the Christmas spirit like travelling to another planet in a different universe." He clapped his hands together and proceeded to the door of the TARDIS. "The lovely planet of…oh," as the Doctor opened the TARDIS doors, there was no snowy planet with flying reindeer and tall Christmas trees there to greet him. Instead, hundreds of children in robes sitting at four long tables were all staring back at him.
"Well, this was unexpected…"He closed the doors and turned back to face Amy."
"What, what is it? What's happened?" She marched toward him looking concerned.
"Well, there seems to have been a mistake. We're not on a different planet."
"What do you mean? We're still on Earth?"
"Well, sort of."
"Doctor, where are we?"
"We're at Hogwarts."
"Sorry, could you say that again? It sounded like you said Hogwarts."
"It probably sounded like I said Hogwarts because I did say Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts? Are you sure?"
"Well it's definitely not Durmstrang, you only make that mistake once," The Doctor said quietly, more to himself than to Amy. "Ah well, minus well make the best of the situation eh?" He smiled then clapped her on the shoulder, and proceeded to the control panel.
"Doctor, what are you doing?"
"You see Amy, it's not just any regular ol' day at Hogwarts. It's Christmas! And you know what that means…" He opened a panel on the floor which held different types of clothing and pulled out two Santa Claus hats. "We've got to dress for the occasion! Here," he plopped one on his head, then walked over to Amy and put one on hers too.
"Doctor, what are you doing now? Doctor you're not actually going to-" But he already had. The Doctor had opened the doors wide and was standing in the doorway of the TARDIS, staring back at all the curious faces.
"Merry Christmas everybody!" He shouted, and threw his hands in the air. The students, however, remained silent. "Tough crowd, eh?"
"Doctor!" Dumbledore's voice rang through the Great Hall. "It's so nice to see you again!" He walked over to then entrance of the TARDIS and embraced the Doctor in a hug.
"Dumbledore, old fellow!" The Doctor returned his hug and then stepped back. "Oh, sorry about the, er, mess," For the Doctor's TARDIS had landed right on the staff table. A very flustered McGonagall was standing against the wall, looking as if she had to jump out of the way of the TARDIS.
"It's quite all right Doctor! have you got Rose in that box of yours?"
The Doctor's expression seemed to have gone from gleeful to sullen in about half a second.
"No, actually. Rose and I have, erm, separated I supposed." He looked down at his feet and played with his hands as he said this.
"That's fine Doctor, quite fine." Dumbledore put his hand on the Doctor's shoulder and gave him a warm, comforting smile.
"Oi, space man, you're going to explain to me what you mean by 'Hogwarts' and how we're actually going to get the planet of- oh," Amy soon joined the Doctor by his side at the entrance of the TARDIS and her eyes gazed upon the hundreds and hundreds of faces staring back at her. "Doctor," she said sternly and quietly, so that only he could hear.
"Well, you know what they say…GERONIMO!"
