It was nightime when Simon was walking to Luke's house. He could see the stars as clearly as you could in New York. As he was walking he casually looked into an alley He saw what had always happened in his worst nightmares when he was a kid. Someone was feeding. For a moment he just stood there and stared. When the person finally finished and looked up, he saw who it was. His sister.

"Hailey?" That was the only word to come out of his mouth. He was to deep in disbelief to say anything else.

"Simon?" She said with the same tone he had. " You have to leave now. Go. Far away from me. Now!" She said anxiously.

" You're a vampire."

" Vampires don't exist Simon. I guess playing all those game started contracting your sense of reality." She tried to say convincingly but failed completely.

" Don't lie to me. We ALL THOUGHT YOU HAD DIED! YOU DISAPPEARED OUT OF THE BLUE!You. You destoyed our family."

" Simon.."

" I'm leaving now. You should get almost morning."

When Simon got to Lukes he couldn't say anything. He was there but he was silent. Jocelyn kept asking what was wrong. He kept saying it was nothing. In the morning there was going to be a meeting. Alec, Isabelle, Magnus, Maia and Jordan were going to be there. He kept dreading it. All he could think about was Hailey. How she was a vampire. How she left she left him.

In the morning he wa barely awake when he heard chattering outside the bedroom. For an hour he just layed there. His sister was alive. Well, basically alive. He would've been excited but he wasn't. He was horrified. Hailey was a vampire. For how long he wondered. Without thinking really he grabbed his phone and texted Clary. Simply to tell her to come in the room without telling anyone. Only a moment later did she come in. Silently closing the door.

'What is it?"

"Something happened last night. I saw someone."

Clary sat down, with a worried look on her face " Who?"

Hailey. He said in his head " It was her" It was all he said, but Clary knew who he was talking about.

"Hailey? I thought she.." She didn't say the rest because hte end of the sentence was too painful to say. Both of them grew up with her. When she left it wrecked both of them. Thought it had been a couple years it was was a wound that never healed.

" I saw her. She was ... she's a vampire."

The words turned Clary into a stunned state. " A /vampire?"

" She tried to tell me that vampires didn't exist. And what do you know I am one. Hailey and me are both vampires. If my mom found out it would kill her. She lost her once and if she found out she would probably lose me too. The only one she has is Becca and she's at college anyway. She's all alone now. I'm not there anymore to take care of her. I'm dead." At the last line his voice broke and she could tell that he would've been crying. The thing about Simon is if he going to cry you wouldn't see him do it.

" Simon. Its going to be-"

"No. Don't say its going to be alright. It never will be alright. It never was."

Before she was able to respond there was a knock on the door. Luke.

" You two have to come out now. Everyone is here."

Simon whispered " We'll talk about this later"

Two minutes after Simon left Clary just sat there, and thought. Thought about how much Simon's life has changed. Something inside her will always feel like it was her fault this happened to him. Clary believed Simon's life had been the one that changed the most. Then a thought came to her mind. How much does she know Simon now? After everything had she been putting Jace infront of everything? She realized she became the girkl who always has the boyfriend as her first priority. At that she started to tear up.
