Alicia Rivera walked into the mall sadly. The tears were not there anymore, but the pain was still evident in her deep brown eyes. Sighing, she struggled not to cry, but it was hard because Josh just dumped her. Today. For Kuh-laire.
Even though she was pretty smart, Alicia still couldn't get it. Why on earth would Josh pick Kuh-laire over her? Claire with her stupid innocence, naïve attitudes and over-all phoniness. But she just pushed it out of her thoughts.
Smiling softly, she promised herself that she would start a brand new life, starting with being anti-Polo. So she chugged off to BCBG when suddenly a thought hit her. She couldn't abandon Polo, she was born with it! She was not going to stop one stupid heartbreak turn her against her most fave store! Hell to the no, sister! So instead she went straight to Ralph Lauren.
As she entered, the familiar new clothes smell hit her.
She immediately went to their Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 collection. Picking out a cool new black mini dress, she was surprised to see there was already a hand gripping it on the other side of the rack. She tugged on the dress, but the other hand tugged right back. So she tugged on it again this time harder, but the guy pulled it really hard, and the whole rack fell upon him.
Clang!
"Oh my God! Are you okay?" She asked giggling
"Oh yeah, it just hurts a bit." The fallen man answered
Wait a minute! I know that voice!
"Chris? Is that you?" She asked again
"Umm, Leesh?" answered Chris
"Yeah it's me! Need a hand?"
"Uhh… sure!"
Strangely though, while helping him up, Josh had all but disappeared from her mind.
"Thanks Leesh" said Chris gratefully
"No probs! By the way, what were you doing here?" asked Alicia
"I heard about you and Josh, so I wanted to buy you a feel-better present" said Chris, blushing a little
"Really? That's so thoughtful! Thanks a lot Chris" Leesh answered smiling.
"Umm… sure" He said "Oh and by the way, would you like to go out for fro-yo?" Chris asked
"Totally!" Alicia said grinning
Linking arms with Chris, Alicia grinned, thinking, so what Josh? I found a new guy who likes me, cares for me and makes me smile. Alicia also knew that RL never let her down. She found Josh there, and although he broke her heart, she also found Chris there and she knew that Chris would never let her down. And that was just one of the many reasons why Alicia loved RL.
