Fili looked around the battle field for his brother they'd been separated jure in the panic of war. He scanned the bodies on the floor praying his brother wasn't among them. "Kili" he tried to be heard above the noise but it was impossible if his brother was out there he wouldn't have heard him. "Fili" the reply was faint. Fili looked around wildly searching for his brothers face but unable to find it. He began to run not caring for his own safety any more only wanting to find his brother safe he ran past the familiar body of his uncle the stabbing pain in his heart from the loss seemed like it would never leave. He continued to run until he tripped he glanced back to see what had tripped him and his eye's widened to see his own brother's body on the floor he scrambled desperately to Kili's side "Kili" he whispered tears brimming in his eyes. Kili's eyes were closed and his breathing painfully slow there there was an arrow producing from his chest which moved with each shaky breath "Brother please don't leave me" Fili whispered next to kili ear as he held his brother close to him Kili's blood soaking his cloths "We said we'd stay together…Remember?" he asked his brother his voice shaking with the fear of losing his younger brother there was no response he hadn't thought there would be
Some , Some die young But you better hold on So many things I need to say to you Please don't let me go And we said we would die together
He watched as his brother's chest stopped rising he let out a choked sob which turned into a scream of pain as his little brother left the world of the living. He had made a promise to his mother that he would protect his little brother and now he had broken that promise. Fili didn't see the orc behind him but he did feel the sharp pain of the arrow piercing his heart he slumped forward over his brother's body he opened his mouth and said his last words "I'll never leave you again brother"
