Kenshin wrapped his hands around Kaoru's waist and whispered softly into her ear:
" Aishiteiru, my Kaoru. Say you'll accept my hand and agree to be my wife, my love… my soul mate"
Those words just took her breath away. Her Kenshin, her rurouni wants her to be by his side forever.
This were the thoughts wondering around Kaoru Kamiya's mind everyday, every hour since the day she heard those words from her fiancé – Kenshin Himura. Sometimes she still couldn't convince herself she was about to connect her life, her destiny and most of all – her love with the ex-rurouni and ex-battousai Kenshin Himura. But every time she looked at the engagement ring on her left hand (this time it really proved Kenshin's intentions to marry her) she'd sighed in pleasure and then innocently blushed when she thought of their first wedding night.
Kenshin was just entering the dojo when suddenly he stopped mesmerized by the view in front of him. There she was his beloved Kaoru-dono. No just Kaoru from now on.
She stood there dressed in a beautiful blue kimono with a lovely yellow obi around her waist.
Since the day he'd met her, he'd been so grateful to the Gods for sending her to him- the unworthy one. She's the most graceful, the most carrying person he knew. He peer his gaze in her blushing face and wondered what made this lovely pink color appear on her cheeks. He made his way to her, hugged her and lightly kissed her on the lips. Kaoru's cheeks reddened even more.
-Kenshin, no baka. Yahiko might have seen us.
-Koishii, I'd never do anything that would put you in disgrace.
Then Kenshin grinned with his rurouni way and made her heart skip a beat.
-Besides, I've already known Yahiko was at the "Akabeko". He stretched his hand back his head and asked:
-Kaoru, do you think Yahiko has any feelings for Tsubame-chan?
-I really think he has, Kenshin. I'm sure someday he'll find a way to tell her about his affection.
Kenshin looked at her sadly.
-I just hope he won't hesitate long, like I did.
Kaoru put her hand on his scarred cheek and said sweetly:
-Kenshin, don't burden your self with that thought. You had your reasons to do that.
He took Kaoru's hand and gently kissed it.
-You're the gentlest person I know in my life. I promise you koi, I'll do anything to make you happy.
And as if to prove his words to her, Kenshin kissed her passionately and yet very gently, thus making Kaoru's knees week and she had to press her body to his for a support.
