Remus John Lupin had been married for sixteen incredibly happy years. He had a Pack, and four cubs that had helped to make a Pride. I really shouldn't feel sad that they're growing up.
But I can still remember that flour-blizzard-in-the-pantry episode, and the times I comforted each of them after a nightmare. I can see them in all their stages of growth, from babe in nappies to men and women of valor that fought for the Light.
So can I, and Letha, and Sirius. Just because Hermione's getting married it doesn't meant you can't still call her 'Kitten', Remus.
Harry's getting married next week, Danger… think I can call him 'Greeneyes' then, just to embarrass him?
