Brushing back the brown locks into one smooth braid, Katniss tied her ends and tossed on an old t-shirt. The sun set high in the District of 12, while the heat kept low upon the Sunday afternoon. She felt her heart flutter as her thoughts wondered throughout the games yet again, almost as if a flash had now corrupted her everyday life.

As her mother and Prim had taken it upon themselves to still heal people from town, they laid out fresh medical supplies on the counters as the brunette scurried downstairs and into the center room.

"Ready for your day, honey?" Mrs Everdeen asked as she handed her a glass full of juice.

"Mhmm." she mumbled as the gulps permeated off her throat.

"I'm kinda nervous too." She admitted as she smacked the glass onto the wooden table and treaded out the door.

Living in the victors spot wasn't bad, though living so close to Peeta might have caused a stomach ache. While Katniss gaited down the road, she approached Haymitch's house and sighed. Her walk slowed as she figured possibly, she should check on him. Somehow feeling responsible? In theory, the mentor's took care for their tributes, though the gratitude that overwhelmed her was more than enough to repay him for his journey with her.

Turning into his driveway, she hopped up his front steps and opened his door. As his snores filled the first room she entered, the brunette snuffed a laugh and sighed. Luckily, the previous month, Haymitch agreed to Katniss ordering a cleaning crew for the pigsty, therefore she spotted him quickly. He laid flat against the coffee table perched perfect view of the television set, bottle in arm distance.

Her grey hues swept around the house and she grabbed one of the several full water bottles near the dining arrangement. She pulled out her knife and punched a hole in the cap, right before squirting a perfect stream of the luke warm water directly at the drunkard. He groaned and swung a surprisingly empty hand around him before raising his head with cover. The light clearly stung him, with notice, Katniss slide the curtains closed and cleared her throat,

"Erm, sorry about that. I forgot you had to watch Prim today, remember?" she headed into the kitchen and searched for some means.

"And I came to make you breakfast." she said with an almost hint of regret. The hunt would have to wait
