One Step
Smoker takes it every time. In one, fluid motion he crosses that line, taking a dangerous chance in unsure territory.
One Touch
Ace's skin is flushed and red, intense to touch from the fire burning deep inside him. Smoker's fingers smart, but he refuses to pull his hand away.
One Mistake
Smoker knows he's already gotten himself in too deep. He never should have given in, should have staved off the fierce hunger that's been gnawing at his bones since he first met the younger man. Ace has pressed his lips to Smoker's, and the marine is already far-gone.
One Moment
It feels like it's just starting, and before he knows it, Ace is already leaving Smoker behind. As always.
One Life
Smoker feels his heart beating his chest, blood pumping through his veins. He does his duty, never leaves his post, but his body yearns for the man he once held.
One Sea
At night, Smoker watches the water of the Grand Line, the sea of endless possibilities. None, though, for him and Ace. He stares back at the ocean and wonders if Ace, in all his lightheartedness, ever stares back, aching.
