Rajesh Koothrappali Comes Out As Bisexual
"Hey, so, um, Howard?"
"So now you call me. You haven't talked to me for days, what is going on? Look, if this is about Spiderman, I admit I was wrong. Tom Holland was a good choice for the role."
"No, it's not that, really. Look, I just wanted to say something. You know I think you and Bernie are great for each other, right?"
"Of course. Why would I think you were against Bernie?"
"Well I'm not, I'm totally not. And I would never do anything to break you two up."
"Okay…is this going somewhere?"
"Just listen. So Howard, I've always known I liked women. And I've always known I liked girlish things, like fashion. I don't want to buy into the idea that guys who like girlish things must be gay. I know that's a stupid stereotype. I knew it wasn't true about me. But I never really thought about being bisexual. I mean, you don't hear about it much – they call that bisexual erasure. I looked it up. Anyway, I always sort of assumed that since I liked women I must be straight. But since meeting you I've realized I like men too, not just you but including you, and I'm bisexual. And, um, I just wanted you to know that, and to know that I respect your relationship and won't try anything, but I think since we're friends you ought to know. We are still friends, aren't we?"
"Sure. What am I gonna do, listen to Leonard talk about Penny all day? Look, if I didn't want to be friends with people because they were different, Sheldon would be long gone."
"Great! Well, I have to get back to my soap operas. Tell Bernie I said hi – I'll tell her about me later."
"Will do."
