Klaine Engagement
Kurt couldn't help but smile as he watched the sun set from the window in their new apartment. The room was piled high with boxes to be unpacked. Kurt and Blaine had just moved in that morning, and they were already in love with their new home. It was almost the same distance from the Kurt's work building and the school Blaine that will teach at in September.
Kurt busied himself with unpacking boxes as he waited for Blaine to return. Since they didn't have any food in their fridge yet, Blaine went to search the neighbourhood for a good pizza place.
The door to the apartment opened and Kurt quickly jumped up to help his boyfriend who was struggling to get the pizza box through the door.
"Honey, I'm home," Blaine said teasingly, placing the pizza box on the table.
They spent the rest of the night eating pizza, unpacking their belongings and moving items into their assigned rooms. By the time it was midnight the majority of the boxes were unpacked, and they were too exhausted to continue.
Kurt and Blaine climbed into their new bed, tired but pleased with all the work they had done. They snuggled in close despite the summer heat, eager to spend the night together.
"I think we're going to like it here," Kurt yawned.
"One second," Blaine said, jumping out of bed.
"What is it?" he asked as Blaine left the bedroom. "Is something wrong?" He began to get out of bed to see what all the fuss was about.
"No! Stay there," he called from the next room.
After a few moments Blaine returned, with his hands behind his back.
"I think you forgot to unpack a box," he said slicking his hair back with his left hand, still holding his right one behind his back.
"I'm not unpacking any more boxes tonight Blaine. I'm too tired," Kurt huffed, rolling his eyes.
"I think you'll want to open this box," Blaine smiled, lowering himself down onto one knee.
The realization of what was happening hit Kurt, rendering him speechless.
"You are my whole world. You mean everything to me Kurt, and I want nothing more in this world than to be your husband. Kurt Hummel, will you marry me?"
Kurt stared blankly for a few moments, so filled with emotion that he was unable to answer him immediately.
He held out his hand to Blaine, allowing him to slip the shiny gold ring onto his finger. "There is nothing in the world I want more than to be your husband, Blaine Anderson."
Blaine sighed with relief. He stood up and took Kurt's hand to examine how the ring looked on his finger.
"It's beautiful," Kurt breathed.
Kurt lifted his hand, still being examined by Blaine, and slid it around the back of Blaine's neck, pulling him in for a kiss.
"I love you," he said between kisses.
"I love you, too," he replied, tugging Kurt onto the bed. "Why don't we celebrate our love in our new home, fiancé?" Blaine winked.
