"D...D...wake up...D...wake the fuck up." Somebody slap my face hard. That woke me up instantly, alright. I sat upright and screamed.
"Son of a bitch." I looked around.
"Glad you awake, i tried for ten minutes." A kid that looked around six stare at me. She cute kid. Pale blonde with golden hue, pale skin, soft blue eyes. Her face like my online buddy slash rival, Erin or Rin for short. Only different is just her hair bright gold blonde and deep blue eyes. Wait a second.
"Rin is that you?" She practically like younger and paler colored Erin.
"Damn right." So weird to hear kid said that.
"Wait..huh...wait...la li lu le lo." Test my voice then looked down at my body then at her and back to me. Then i stared her.
"We're a fucking kid." I made very confused kid voice. She nodded.
"Now..." She just punched me at my jaw. And i staggered.
"The fuck did you do to me?" She screamed at me.
"Fucking hell, and hell if i know. I'm a kid too dammit." I rubbing my jaw. As i stand i looked down at her. "Huh, she shorter?"
"Shit, if not you then what happened?" As she mumbling to herself i looked around.
We're at a flat stone boulder that facing sea. Its night with beautiful clear sky full of stars. There's a lighthouse in the distance but something about it familiar.
I looked down at myself. I wear a shirt, short cargo pants and sport shoes. Just a normal look. She wear a pants and t-shirt.
I looked my hand they were more fair that my skin used to. I saw that i have longer hair it reached my neck. It white or ash colored? I don't know, moon is clear but that not enough light. Then i saw the boulder i stepped have glowing line.
"Yo, Rin." She lost to her mumbling and deep thinking.
"Erin...you hear me. And she lost it. Never said i don't support equality." I just slapped her head in the back.
"God damnit D, you made me bite my tongue." Yeah i pissed her.
"I called you. You lost it." Not even intimidated.
"I tried to found solutions you ass." She retorted back.
"You forget to seek evidences. Are stones supposed to be glowing?" Pointing my both index finger to my feet. She look embarrassed afterwards.
"Yeah, that fucking weird? Sorry i just went crazy there. But admit it we're in shitty situations." Can't denied it that.
"Can't blame you. To made you gone panicked mean we're fucked. But lets recap everything. What you remember before wake up?" We need start everything from beginning.
"Remember our vid call?" I nodded. "I went back to sleep after that because it already midnight, you?" She looked at me.
"Getting lunch, after my noon class over i took a nap on my college cafeteria." Eating can make you sleepy.

"But its all centered here. This place looks like a camp. It's cold and old." She touched the blackened center and rubbed the soot with her fingers.
I just scanning around us. The lighthouse is very familiar but i forget from where. I see a small wooden dock. Not good for boat or ship because it too small. Maybe fishing spot. But when i peering down from boulder camp i froze at one sight
"D, found something?" Erin asked me.
"That." I shakily raised my hand and pointing a familiar jutted cluster of glowing rocks.
"What are you..." She frozed too from looking at that rocks. We just stand there not moving. Each of us thinking the way to handle this. To survive.
"Ow shit...fucked so bad." Erin commented.
"If that lighthouse is what i think it's. That is our best hope now. But if we stepped out now we die, it's still night time." I stared at her blankly. But she stared me with same expression.
"Day time too. Giant magical crocodiles there, remember." She pointing the way out.
"That if daytime even exist. Though the camp still glowing so she still alive." I hoped she still alive.
"Don't be so sure, she could be already dead and we're at the first four years before this shit expired." She pointing the boulder.
"Don't jinx it. Let's wait for few hours and hope that the sun will rise." I just sit on the edge. Erin sitting next to me. We waiting in silence for few minutes.
"Fucking Final Fantasy XV." Is the only words that came out from her mouth.

"If i met Lunafreya. I don't cared what people of Eos said. But i would said very colorful words that need to be passed to Astrals in front of her. Maybe setting that Glacian ass on fire too. I mean why the hell we here? The story ended up nicely enough." She ranting non stop. But i listen because she need to.
"Let's test this." I just stand up much to Erin confusion. I looked at the sky and take a deep breath.
"You shitty Astrals. The fuck do you need us for. Both your chosen already able to save this world from your shitty fault. Sending nobodies from another won't solved your fucking problems." I screaming at the sky.
"You do know that they only heard Oracle pleadings. Though it do looked very cathartic." She stand too and take deep breaths.
"You shitheads should help them more easily. So they would live and have better ending." I raised an eyebrow at Erin. But a roar from distance made us froze.
"We better not getting ourselves killed in first night." I whispered at her. Then we sitting again.
"Agree. Huuff..." She sighed in defeat. I laying on my back resting my head with my hands. Looking at the sky.
"Can you see starlights from your country?" I asked her. She laying back too.
"Sometime time but not like this, you?" It kinda peaceful.
"Too many city lights in mine. You could see the brightest not cluster of diamonds like this one." It's very beautiful.
"So, theorical question. What if we're now positioned twelve year before the main story?" I just realized something.

"We're kid. How old you put yourself and myself?" I still looking at the sky but my gear grinding.

"Perfect alibi." I nodded.

"Tenebrae getting attacked twelve years before main stories. We could come as refugee from there that fled to Altissia but stranded here." She nodded at that.
"We solved our back story. Now how about the future?" We returned to silence after that.
"Its unfair. We are powerless nobodies in the world full of daemons and monsters. Even if we found civilization. People wouldn't take us seriously because we're kid now." She is right.
"Want join The Glaives?" I offer her.
"Sorry, Nyx is great hero. But i don't want to be stabbed in the back by the rest of them if i can help it." Yeah me too.
"Hunter?" I asked her.

"What's your point? Last time i knew someone steal magical energy. They got burned in Kingsglaive." She looked at me skeptically.
"How about from ourselves?" I putting my theory.
"Don't you get it. We don't fucking have magic." She looked tired and the night still long. But i sitting upright.
"But look around us. We live in the world where there's giant monsters can do weird shit. If you do dungeon diving, you know that dragons too. We even got magical stone and carrots." I pointed the elemental deposit.
"I see your point but how we gain that power?" I smiled at her question.
"The chance is small but it better than none." I touched the runic line under me and close my eyes.
Erin said it was warm. So if that a magical energy can be sense how about others energies." I do felt the warm it like touching lightbulb after a minute on.
"So can i feel my own? Did i even have one?" Then i felt another feeling inside me. In nice and cool. Like air after rain.
I raised my hand in front of my face. I still hold that cool sensation. The i concentrate and will it to pooled in my palm.
"Holy fuck, you actually do it." Erin word made me open my eyes. But nothing happened. I just saw her jawdroped.
"I did?" I looked at my hand and it just fine.
"Whatever the hell you do. Do it again but open your eyes." I follow her order and do the same thing again.
"Holy fuck, i actually do it." I just quoting her. Right now my palm were glowing bright white with some red aura flaring out.
"Teach me now." After i explained how to do it. Erin did the same. Hers were glowing blue with white flare.
"D, you just increased our survivability significantly. So get ready." She back to her high spirit.
"Get ready for wha..." Before i finished. She smacked her lips against mine. She doesn't care anymore.

"Ah...so bright." Heard someone mumbling. And i felt weight on my chest. Opened my eyes and found Erin curling on my torso like a cat.
"Did we fell asleep? Good, a fucking daylight." I looked up and see a bright blue sky.
"Oi sleepy head, wake up. We got a whole world to fight." I poke her head.
"No, kill the light i'm so tired." She just rubbing her head against my body.
"We kill it and we die too. Come on, i want to laze around too. But this isn't the place." She sitting up an rubbing her eyes.
"You know, this would be very nice position if you not looking like a kid...uggghhh" She punched my stomach while sitting on it
"Don't break this nice moment then." She standing up and cracking her joints.
"Fine, sorry about that. Let look for fire deposit and see if we can draw from it. If we can, it could be used it to cook some mollusk." Finding the deposit is easy. Figuring how to draw and and 'store' it is another story. We need two hour to be able understand to do it.
"Guess they right about children need to eat a lot." I just finished our last fish.
"Much better than mollusk that for sure." After drawing from energy deposit. I have an idea by using lighting spell to catch fish.
While it not explosive like game. It enough to electrocuted five coral bass. Then we cleaned them using ice knife and burned them on campfire. We turn breakfast into lunch just from learning magic and cooking the food.
"Remember Rin, our type of magic is very limited in both quality and quantity. Shooting elemental blast is the best we could do now and it one time use before lose its elemental effect." I warned her.
"Yeah, those absorbing itself is tiring on its own. We how much we can absorbed?" She asked me.
"Few ounces per type. More than that we got killed." I still rubbing my palm. Got shocked myself and passed out when absorbing lighting energy too much.
"I have an idea but a dumb one." Erin got this sheepish look.
"Rin, we're at very shitty situations. So dumb idea is better than none." I planning our escape from here
"Remember Chocobros that they used magical flask. How about we used this?" She show a lump of charcoal from campfire.
"I want to retort but i remember we're at fantasy world so go ahead with magic charcoal." I just shrugged at her.
"Jackass." That was her only answer. She grabbed the charcoal then channel her power to it. It less than a second there. The coal have red lines across it after she done. She threw it as far as possible it explode in great fire and smoke but the smoke linger for few seconds. It like a black mist we could not see everything inside it.
"Best dumb idea. I'll kiss if i can." I just jawdropped at the sight.
"Then what stopped you giving my reward." She told me.
"What rewar..." The fuck wrong with she kissing me without finishing my sentence.

"We really need to start to talk where our relationship stand." I shout that while running.

So big smokey explosion is not because Erin powerful. It more like she being dumbass. After few tests it show that it explode spectacularly because the container is unstable but compatible at the same time.
Charcoal is acceptable catalyst for fire energy because its nature. But it never meant to hold it the first place. When we put magic, the coal become enchanted and have its own magical properties. Hence black thick fume effect.
We brought some coals. When we found the exit it littered with sea devils. We threw our coal bombs. Then run like hell when they distracted.
"Hu...fuck. Kid body..." I gasping my breath when in the middle of the road.
"Is suck... I know." Erin just laying there.
"Come on lets move. When we arrived at Caem you can crash there." I reached my hand to her.
"Game is nice to be played. Not so much to lived in though." She grabbed it and stand.
"Fight or die." I said as we walked towards Caem.
"Win and live." She continued. Quoting that is the most proper words for our situation.

"So what our relationship?" We walked to Caem. Game made it looked short. But it very far. We almost ran out of blizzard energy for making water. We low on fire and only lighting that still full. We not even once met car. Where's everyone is a big question.

"Can we ever go back to Earth?" I suddenly asked her.
"We may never be. We kid now, we expected to stay here. Why the sudden question?" She surprised with the question.
"Because if we stuck here. We stucked with each other." I pointed out.

"So can i attack you while you sleep? I never got to know how a young boy taste. Or you know, you can taste me instead." I swing my arm at her. But she duck it. She run ahead and fast. I follow her.

"Ready?" I looked at her and she nodded. I put my palm on the door surface.

"I check the water. You check the electricity." She ordered me.

"Huff... whatever. Now sit still, how short you want to cut your hair?" We stiil in the bathroom.
After checking water and electricity. We ate our food while waiting the heater doing its job. We checked the house. Some rooms still have beds in it. I choose one but Erin following me. When i say no she just punched me.
"Short, around one inch. Ashen hair is edgy enough." Yeah, after some debate we agreed that my hair is ash colored. Same with my eyes.
"You sure don't want have style like the chocobros." She flicking my hair.
"Long hair is annoying. Just cut it Rin." And she done just that.
"Wuh... short hair is the best." My head felt cool and nice. Then suddenly Erin hugged me from behind.

Looked around the room and only see Erin curling with blanket over her. It sound like i took advantage of her. But it more like the other way around. She promised to attacking me in the middle of the sleep if we don't sleep together.
We emptied our fire energy to dry the clothes. Sound like wasting energy but it better than sleeping naked near each other.
My musing of my friend antics were interrupted by sound of door opened suddenly. We barricade the door using wood planks and nails that laying around. So if that opened. Something strong enough doing it.
I quickly near the bed. And put my palm on Erin mouth. She awake suddenly and punched my stomach few times. But i bear it and putting my index finger on my lips gesturing for silence. She calmed down after looking at my serious expression. Then i release her.
I pointing the door and the floor below. She nodding in understanding. I walked silently and conjure and ice knife, Erin did the same. We waiting on the side of the door pressing our back to the wall and prepared.
"Somebody here, we need help, please." Erin almost move but i hold her and mouthing 'daemon'. One thing that i know is that some daemons intelligent enough to speak or have humanoid form to lure human.
"Ah fuck, Andy stay there pal. Just hold on." Now Erin tilted her head and looked at me. She said 'Now?'
'Fine, be careful' I mouthed.
We put the knives behind our back and opened the door slowly. We saw two man and a woman downstairs. All off them were beaten and bleeding. But the man that laying down is look worse.
"Whose there?" The woman aim her gun at us. My grip on the knife tightening but i dont move. I felt Erin did the same
"Sorry, but you kinda wake us up." Erin word made the woman lower it.
"There's kids here, aren't this place supposed to be abandoned?" The woman looked at the conscious man.
"Must be refugee from Tenebrae. Lot of them come to Lucis after Niff take the reign. Kids, we're hunters. Where your parents? One of us wounded pretty bad." He asked.
"Just us. Bring him to the room." I show my knife and pointing the room behind us.
"Sorry." The woman look down. But they waste no time to help their friend.
We put Andy to our room and place him on the bed. Guy looked at the death door. And while his friends have basic medic it still not enough. Me and Erin watching from across the room.
"Lisa take the kids. They don't need to see this." The man told Lisa. And she nodded.
"Come on kids." She looked tired and defeated.
"We can save him." My word made them froze.
"D, are you crazy. We don't have enough power or knowledge to do it. Wrong move he could explode." Erim warned me.
"How about magic soda?" I told her.
"Like that used by Chocobros?" I nodded.
"What you kids talking about?" The man asked us.
"The way to save him. He dying there. We could save him. But the it still experiment. Well, having bad idea is better than none." Quoting Erin and she just smiled.

"Lisa, are you sure about this? The girl said if it wrong Andy will explode." The man try to reason.
"Dave, he still die other way. So kids what do you need?" She put a hopeful express.
"Get us soda or energy drinks. And alcohol too if you have it." Erin ordered. But of us nearing the patient slash test subject.
"The hell do you need that for." The man asked me.
"No time, we losing him." Then Lisa gave us some bottles of energy drink.
"Hope this shit works, Rin ready?" I asked her.
"Let's go." Me and Erin put our magic to the bottles. Then pour it to Andy. Rather than colored water that wet his clothes. A liquid light were absorbed by him. His wound is healing, well magically.
"Who or what actually you are?" Dave asked us jawdroped.
"We jealous of Kings of Lucis and Oracles line. How can we don't have enough power to even save ourselves?" I checked at Andy while explaining them.
"So we seek the other way. Don't know what Eos would think of us? But we found our own power." Then suddenly Andy gasping for an air.
"Andy!" Lisa suddenly hug him.
"What...what happened?" He looked confused.
"Well we got a lot to talk right." Erin told Dave.

"And we actually planned to go to Altissia. But refugee boat is not the best type of travel." I told him.
"So how you got to learn magic. Isn't that only Kings and Oracles can do it?" Lisa asked.
"What the worse monsters you ever seen?" I asked them.

"See, some monsters are defying world natural law. How come a plan run faster than us? We practically living in the world full of magics. Each have differents form. We got crystal, Oracle, daemons, monster. So what we got?" I explained.
"Our own?" Andy answered.
"Bingo, we pull magical energy from our body. It can't shielding a whole city like Kings magic or make you speak to Astrals. But it enough alright." They all nodded.

"Try to live with sailor and not to speak like one." Erin said.

"You from Niflheim?" Andy a bit angry for my fake background. Why a i'm said that? Well i want make it believable as possible.

"But that's not it. When wondering around for sleeping place. I stumbled upon their maintenance building. What i found there is change my life forever." I put a fake horror struck face.
"What you found there?" Dave asked.
"Daemons, whole army of them." They confused.
"What that even mean?" Their confused irritated me a bit.
"Don't you get it. Niflheim used humanoid daemons as infantry. Their armor is what protect them from the light." They went pale.
"I ran to Tenebrae so fast that night. I don't even care if already midnight and daemons prowling around." I finished my fake background.
"I used to heard rumors of villages or towns population disappeared in one night. I guess i know where they went." Now they went green. It's a fake story. But i need every advantage to fight them, sympathy included.
"So that's why we never found anything inside their plates. They just disperse when die like daemon and leave only an empty armor." Dave put a dawning understanding.
"Imagine if Niff build them in very large numbers then something wrong happened and they went lose." I don't fake my fear this one. Emperor is dumbass to believe Ardyn.
"We got ourselves a daemons outbreak in daylight." Lisa commented.
"And The Niflheim Empire would fall first. Thats why i fled to Tenebrae. Weeks after walking i'm able to sneak pass the border and met her." I'm pointing at still sleeping Erin.
"She just orphan that working odd jobs in the docks, helping anything for a bit of Gil. We met and she offered me the same jobs. Things was nice until news of fire killed Queen Sylva. But i never trust official statement after seeing their MT. I planned to go to Altissia in hope MT can't swim. I brought her with me, then end of story." I finished the background.
"You both got it rough kids. So how long you know how to used magic?" Dave asked.
"We know it just yesterday. That's why we a bit hesitated to save Mr. hunter here." I pointing Andy.
"You seem able to survive just fine, why magic?" Lisa turn.
"We are a bit low and desperate, so don't ask us." They nodded.
"So what you would do now?" Dave asked.
"You need helping hand?" I asked him.

When i played the game especially during Dave missions, some of the lore hit hard. FFXV is the most unfair universe ever. Only two types of people have a magic. Either you Lucis Royalty or Oracle. Glaive not included because its sourced from King of Lucis.
So because of that annoying lore. I put my own touch to it. Everyone got potential to do it. I mean look, cactuar fast as fuck. Or try fight Jormungand, that beast spitting fire like a fountain. How the hell human can't. If i can heal stab wound with soda, i'll stock cola instead of medicine.
The magic will different too of course. Though in won't work on Crystal level. Maybe i should watch Dr. Strange again.
