It was a late night plus end of the weekend so early Monday morning. A university student was staying up late to finish editing a group project.

As he typed the hour away on his keyboard the clock in the corner of his room read 12:00 P.M. Geeze it was essentially the next day, at least he was almost done.

His eyelids grew heavy with exhaustion, maybe he was falling asleep. The next thing he knew his head hit the laptop. He should have drank more coffee but tea always seemed to be more relaxing.

Birds chirped... Last time he checked there where robins nesting in the tree next to his apartment. Probably just noise from outside his room.

Although then he felt something pecking the top of his head. Wait? Pecking the top of head that didn't make sense.

Last night he closed his window because the weather was cold. A bird shouldn't have gotten into his room.

While half asleep he took a double check. Either he was lying on a really weird blanket or grass.

The last place he remembered being was at his desk, he swore he fell asleep there.

On the other hand it wouldn't be the first time he fell asleep in a strange place. While drunk at a friend's party he ended up dozing off on their washing machine.

That was it something wasn't right here! The university student's head shot up, finally awake he surveyed his surroundings.

This couldn't be right what the hell? Trees no way was there a giant ass forest in the middle of the city. Alas the bird that pecked on his head was very much real. It flew away as he recollected himself.

Standing on his feet finally his eyes widened comically. He breathed in for a second before noticing the changes.

When did he get taller? That was not his regular height. Did his hair suddenly feel finer? It was longer than normal. There was even a sword at his hip, he didn't know how to wield the thing!

A mirror would sure be nice but he was probably miles away from civilization. Damn it! He still didn't know where he was.

All these things became both natural and foreign to him. What was going on with his body was one thing but his mind was affected as well.

Memories that weren't his own played in his head. He clutched his head. A killer headache struck him, he hoped the pain would stop but it didn't.

If this was a dream it would make a hell of a lot more sense but it felt real.

It was as if two people were crammed into the same person. He was sure he knew who he was a minute ago, but now there were two sets of memories.

One had been through a blood and violent era while the other was grounded in the modern world.

How was he alive if Tobirama stabbed him? How did he fall asleep and turn into an anime character? "Arghhh!" This was confusing.

He needed to sit down so he sat in the grass that he had previously face planted in. That felt a bit better, the confusion he was experiencing lessened to an extent.

The world of Naruto is an anime part of him reasoned, this isn't real. In highschool there wasn't a lot to do so he watched every anime episode including all the fillers.

As a kid he spent his life on the battlefield, nothing could erase a lifetime of bloodshed. These new thoughts shouldn't be his but they were.

The young man concluded he was both a university student and Izuna Uchiha. Why of all things did he have to wake up as someone he was not. At the same time it was who he was.

On both fronts he was screwed this was a situation he'd never been in before. Sure he had fought many foes solo but in the past Izuna always had prior knowledge.

If only his brother was here with him. The elder Uchiha always seemed to know what to do, but

Madara Uchiha was a crazy warmonger.

Also big bad of the Naruto series. Yet, as long as he could remember he was also Aniki, the person who had been his hero since childhood. This was not going to be easy.

What time period was he even in? Before he deals with himself he should get somewhere secure and safe. That also meant to figure out what's going on with the rest of the world.

On another note does he still have chakra? That would be a big help, the warrior in him hopes its still there.

The coils of energy in his body exist, the sensation of power circulating underneath his skin is present.

With an exhaled breath there's a sigh of relief that comes from him. He tries his luck on tree walking.

While Izuna has done it many times before the university student in him is in awe! Amazing with chakra there's almost nothing a person can't do.

At the same time he realizes he's just wasting his reserves. Izuna finally gets a move on into the treeline for cover.
