A/N: The song "White Rabbit" by Egypt Central inspired this poem. As soon as I was listening to this song for the 12th time, inspiration struck. I think it's time for the YJ members to rebel against Batman's controlling ways. Think about it. He has them do his 'dirty work'. I'd be pissed too if Batman didn't give us a 'real mission' instead of fighting in the background and having the Justice League get all the praise. Lots and lots of angst below in poem form.
Your mission has left us on the line.
We fight, you monitor us from afar.
We're just another puppet in the making.
You're taking this to an advantage.
We follow, but what is there to say we have control?
We're used to the pain, mutilations and inflictions.
When will we get what we've asked for?
Or have you left us following a dead end road?
Open your eyes; I won't be giving in to your control.
They keep falling for your tricks,
The work you carried out for them to do.
Do they know the reason?
They're just another marionette under your jurisdiction traveling through this dead end road.
You say they're okay,
I think it's time to take a stand.
I won't give in to your pitch black soul.
You're using us,
Poisoning, drowning, ragged and abused.
They fell for your magic, but I see through it all.
Your time is up.
You're no hero,
You're no saint for the lives you put on the line,
Travelling, marching through this dead end road.
