Scanning the stands bellow him, Gaara's eyes were quickly drawn to bright orange. His expressionless gaze settled there, watching as the blond talked animatedly with a younger competitor in a ridiculously long scarf.

'Uzumaki Naruto should not be competing,' the Kazekage stated flatly.

Beside him, the Hokage snorted in an unladylike manner. 'Don't I know it. Having a teenager neutralize the biggest threat to Konoha, and then making him take the chuunin exam like a normal genin, it's just a testament to how many pig-headed ass-holes there are in this village.'

The Kazekage blinked, in what, had Tsunade known him well enough to interpret the minute changes in his facial expressions, could have been interpreted as shock. He, of course, was far from the first person to be startled by the Godaime's candid way of speaking.

'... I suppose so,' Gaara agreed after a pause.
