Heyy everyone reading this! It's my first fanfic and I know it's not a very original idea but I have a lot to type up in other stories that I wrote so this is really just a time-filler. Enjoy!
"Dimitri, what are we going to do? Lissa's out there and strigoi are everywhere!" I yelled to him, tears running down my cheeks for my best friend. I had let her down, this was my fault.
"Some things, Roza, we don't talk about. Just remember falling in and out of love and lets go out there and save Lissa's life by borrowing strength from each other." He said almost crying himself. That's when it dawned on me; we were really going to die, this is it, the end of my life.
We were on our way to the Royal Court when strigoi attacked the motel we were staying at. Lissa was getting ice; I should have gone with her. It was my job as her guardian to protect her at all times and I had failed because strigoi were nearby lusting for her blood and she was unprotected.
"We will stay together no matter what, cover each other's back and hope for the best." Dimitri instructed solemnly.
"Dimitri we'll never get to her in time, it will be my entire fault if either of you dies or gets hurt!" I sobbed. It was true that this was my entire fault but Dimitri, apparently believed differently.
"Look at me Rose!" he yelled with such fierceness that I was taken by surprise and immediately obeyed him. "None of this is your fault. You can also never say never when you don't know it!"
We left the room with our stakes at hand, ready for anything. We silently made our way towards where Lissa was, taking down three strigoi on the way easily. Lissa was still unaware of the strigoi in the building. Suddenly we could see her, putting ice in the little box and cheerfully humming a tune. "Lissa!" I whispered "Quick get over here there are strigoi in the building!"
She looked confused then panicked as she ran to us but, fast as lightning a strigoi shot out from around the corner and grabbed her. It was the blonde one that Dimitri had fought in the attack, Dimitri had just escaped with his life. I screamed and ran at him but he snapped Lissa's neck before I could reach him. I cried out in anguish as my best friend died before my eyes. It felt like part of my soul was being ripped away as she died. I tried to mindlessly attack the strigoi, blinded by hurt, loss and rage. But Dimitri, my Russian savoir, held me back I thrashed against him but it was no use as he dragged me away into the rising sun.
Once we were outside I screamed at him and kicked him, he held me gently murmuring in my ear. I kept whimpering "Don't let me go, don't let me go!" to him, he didn't but when the sun had completely risen he told me that we should check the motel just in case.
We went inside and I found Lissa's body, I put my hand over her heart and much to my joy and surprise, it was beating. I screamed for Dimitri who have her first aid and called for an ambulance. She was treated and within four weeks she would be as good as new. I cried tears of joy and hugged Dimitri; he hugged me back then held me at arm's length and smiled. "Never say never, Roza, never say never." He repeated then we both laughed.
Ya I know, kinda bad isn't it? Whatever, like I said this is just to have something up while I type my other stories, something I wrote in about 10 minutes. Anyway review to tell me what you thought of it, I might post more chapters. I think I will. Please give me ideas and things.
