He was crying, she had rejected him again and he was crying. The bright sun seemed to mock him as his heart ached. She heard him, approaching the park bench where he sat silently, ghostly.

"What happened?" her voice startled him, braking him from his world without. He looked at the girl, maybe a little older than his strawberry and sighed. What was the harm?

"She rejected me, I love her with all my heart and still she hates me." He closed his eyes, blocking out the mocking light. It should be dark, raining, when you have this kind of pain.

"Tell me the story." Her response startled him and he opened his eyes, gasping he looked at her, and slowly started his tail.

He told her of their first meeting, of staling kisses, of the rivalry they sheared and were classified enemies. Of how she had another love, one who didn't have so many questions attached. How his friends thought he was stupid and how every time he had to hurt her it felt like he stabbed himself in the chest. When he finished he looked at her, eyes pleading for her to help.

She was silent, thinking until,

"You're an idiot. She has feelings for you but her moral obligation gets in the way, so she hides it with the other one you mentioned. You need to apologize then leave her alone for a while, that means no stalking, no fighting and certainly no kissing. Then you need to tell her on neutral ground exactly how you feel. Let her decide, and take the answer she gives you. Even if she tells you 'no' accept that and tell her you will be there if she changes her mind." She paused and nodded, seemingly happy with her analyses.

He seemed to honestly consider it.

"I just wish she would let me know. Nothing else, just the truth." He didn't notice the girl go shock still, nor the change in her voice as she responded.

"Is that truly your wish, that and nothing else?" he nodded and she smiled a sad smile. Pointing to a building across from the park bench on which they sat she told him "tomorrow you will get your answer from her, but you will never see me again" and with that she stood, leaving and vanishing into the crowed with practiced ease.

He frowned, wondering what the building had to do with anything. Shaking his head he figured it couldn't hurt to see and teleported to the roof of it. Waiting for whatever she pointed for to happen. As night fell he thought maybe it had been a conscience, until the girl appeared from the entrance way door, walking without hesitation to the edge she prepared herself to step off.

"What are you doing?" he asked pulling her back from the edge.

"My name is Votum, I am a wisher, and we are reborn to search for the one who will make an honest wish of the heart, not of greed. You are that person, but for every will we grant we must give our lives to make it happen." She pulled out his grasp, as in his shock he had loosened his grip and jumped off the edge. Falling gracefully, and just before she hit the pavement below she was swallowed in bright white light.

A week later he confronted Ichigo and when he left the meeting beaming he could have sworn that he heard Votum giggling on the breeze.

A/N: I know the story didn't make much since but it popped into my head and refused to leave. I know that kish is ooc but he had to be and let's just say he was rejected once too many. Votum is mine but that's all ect ect.
