Once lost, always lost
Engulfed in flames
My dreams have been burnt to the ground
But there is nothing beautiful to be
reborn from the ashes
Something that is lost
can never return
Love and cruelt, light and darkness
They all pass me by without touching me
The only thing that keeps me here
Half-alive and numb to the world
Is the urge of revenge
A red-eyed beast
clawing its way through my chest
And this purpose burns more
Than the crimson flames crawling on my skin
Scarred and shattered, branded and humiliated
I keep going and I approach
the ones who broke me and tortured me
Revenge fills my soul with poison
and where love has failed, hate won't
In the very debris of my soul
This hatred threatens to swallow me whole
But if I abandon hate
Then I will lose my fragmented self
Held together only by heavy chains
and searing iron
I always move forward
and never look back
I don't hesitate
And I never lay down my arms
My purpose burns fierce inside me
and consumes me
And I can never be happy or whole again
like the days I can hardly remember
and keep inside me like an amulet
Something that has been taken away
Can never return
And it will always remain that way
once lsot, always lost
