Hey! This is my first fanfic, so don't judge.
Will POV
As I walked out of the Apollo cabin, I immediately felt the sun on my skin.
Nico would hate this, I thought to myself. Where is he? So I had a look around camp. I couldn't find him, but there was a crowd of people in the middle of camp. I pushed through the crowd, and in the middle, Rachel was standing there, with green smoke coming out of her mouth. A prophecy? I thought. Then she opened her eyes.
"The sun has lost his music, his joy and his delight, five of you must find it or the world shall stay as night. He may be such a nuisance, and yes, irritating, but bring him back his music or the sun may never sing. The holy sound shall be found in the cities of gold set underground, and it may be astound, but it is bound, or Olympus shall become a battleground." She finished the prophecy by collapsing, but I ran forward and managed to catch her. Chiron walked to us. "It seems there's a new prophecy. The longest one I remember, too. Campers! Go back to your cabins. Don't worry, go now, thank you." He turned to us. "Get Rachel inside, we need to discuss."
Rachel POV
I woke up in the Big House. Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Nico, and his boyfriend, Will, were there too. Chiron was also there, and he said, "So, you're awake now. Do you remember the prophecy?"
"No," I replied.
"Well then."
He stated the prophecy.
"Wow," I said. "The longest one so far?"
Chiron nodded.
"So, is it these five?" I asked.
"Yes, Apollo arrived and picked them."
"Why do we have to do this again?" It was Percy. "It's always me and Annabeth. Why is?"
Chiron grimaced. "I don't control who goes on the quests. I'm sorry."
"When do we go?" It was Will this time.
"Tomorrow, if you are all ready."
They nodded.
"Okay! Go to your cabins, and get a good nights sleep."
Nico POV
I woke up, the sunlight creeping through my blinds. I yawned, stretching. I never usually sleep much, but today I managed to. I made a mental note to burn some of my food for Hypnos. Then I remembered about the quest. I groaned, pulling on some trousers. I put my t-shirt on, walking to the door. I took my
aviator jacket off its hook. It was a nice day outside, but I get cold easily. I walked outside, as Will was jogging to my cabin.
"Hey, Will," I said.
"Hey!" He replied, slowing down. Hey tackled me into a hug.
"Will!" I complained.
"Come on, you know you love it."
It was true, but I would never admit it.
"Anyway, Chiron wants us," he said.
3rd Person POV
"So," Chiron said. "We need to decipher the prophecy."
"Apollo has lost his lyre? Or maybe his power over music? Is that possible?" Annabeth asked.
"I'm not entirely sure," Chiron said.
"The first part is obvious," Leo said. "Apollo has lost his music, we need to get it back, or he won't ride his sun chariot."
"The second part, on the other hand," Percy put in. "The cities of gold?"
"There's a myth, where there are seven cities of gold, in the pueblos of the New Mexico Territory," Will said.
Annabeth was impressed. "So, the cities of gold. But there's multiple. Which one? All of them?" She sighed. "I hate not knowing things."
"Anyway, is it really this serious? 'Or Olympus shall become a battleground.' Why?" Nico asked.
"I guess we'll find out." Chiron said.
