Fish Fingers and Custard
Far across the river, stood a little, blue box, bathing under the warm, orange glow of a street light, in a barren street. From the outside, to any observer,
it might appear like a police box straight from the 1970s. In fact, in the bustling time of 2017, it ll make you wonder what in the world was it doing here,
out in the street of a quiet English town. And that is precisely what little Elsa thought, when she first saw the box, fifteen minutes ago, through her bedroom's window.
Just as she was out about to bolt out of the room, the box started to phase out of existence, a bit by bit and before she knew it was completely gone.
Elsa's eyes were round like saucers out of sheer surprise. A second ago, the box was there and now, it was gone. But then she did had an extremely tiresome day,
as both Elsa and her best friend had spent the entire day exploring the whole town. It was vacation time, and their parents decided to visit this charming, little town
for a quick get away from the noisy life of London. Owing both to sheer exhaustion and the existence of fog, which had covered the whole town like a blanket, Elsa
decided to let this go. Her bed looked all comfy and dream world was just a wink away.
On the other hand, inside the blue box, boy oh boy, it was a whole new world and a whole new story.
"Urgh, Doctor" said Clara with the look of atmost annoyance, while twiddling around with the levers and buttons on the console.
"Yes, what is it ?"asked the Doctor while reading Harry Potter on the comfy chair next to the stairs in the control room. He was sitting cross legged,
with his left elbow resting on the railing next to the staircase and the other holding a book. He then eyed Clara from the top of his book, and saw her leaning against
the console, with her right hand resting on her hip and the other hand holding a hammer over the console, to be dropped at moment's notice.
This scene alone, set off all sorts of alarms in the doctor's head. He threw away the book into the staircase with the care of a toddler throwing away a toy when it is done with
it and ran towards Clara and tried to get hold of the hammer.
"What are you doing ?" asked the Doctor with panic written all over his face, while his hands flapped about him like a duck flapping it's wings.
"Destroying the console"
"Why ?"
"Cause I don't want these lessons anymore. It is Dumb." while waving around the hammer dangerously over the console.
The Doctor, though panicked he was, had a sudden realization and his panic stricken face made way for an evil grin. He them stood with his hands on his hips and
looked at Clara and asked, "Clara, are you hungry?"
The once, angry Clara looked at the Doctor and then slowly dropped the hammer on the TARDIS floor. She crossed her arms and replied, "Maybe" and then looked away, meekly.
"Oh Clara, Clara, my dear Clara" replied the Doctor while engulfing her in a body numbing hug, during which it was Clara's turn to flap around her arms to get some air.
He then got out of the embrace, patted Clara's head and proceeded to pull a blue lever at the edge of the console and looked at the Clara, who was trying to style back
her hair after the soul crushing hug, on the opposite side of the console.
"What do you want to eat ?"
"You know what" replied Clara with a twinkle in her eyes, while looking at the Doctor.
The doctor gave out a huge resounding laugh and punched in the coordinates of Clara's house. You see, Clara, Always, Always, has a supply of fish fingers and custard.
