Minutes of the last Justice League meeting
opens the meeting
2. The previous meeting's minutes are approved. The Invisible Man notes that he was present, only without notification.
3. Mail. This week's mail includes a foreign postcard sent by the Joker, and the usual recurring items: 14 notes, all from different villains, saying "Just you wait, I will be back to avenge myself!", and a casino advertisement.
4. Financial report. There's some debate if Batman should not pay his own traffic fines from now in. The motion is sustained, but he will still get fuel expenses paid. Superman thinks it's outrageous that the Batmobile drinks petrol like a fish. Batman responds that it's not his fault he can't fly, and at least he always pays his membership fees in time. Chairman asks the meeting to settle down. Lastly Robin suggests the treasurer could swap for change now and then so that they always have money for the parking meter.
5. Committees
Party Committee
The Party Committee reports a spicy evening in the Bat Cave. Especially the "Superwoman" act was much appreciated. The Committee wil give Alfred a present for the preparations and the cleaning up afterwards.
Photo Committee
Spiderman has taken another set of nice action pictures for the archives. Robin asks him to select them more carefully in future, because he thinks they misrepresent him. Also he'd like to order copies of Wonder Woman pictures. Her comment is stricken from the record.
Statutory Committee
The Statutory Committee proposes a change to article 15 section 2.B. To "The members will respect each other's secret identity at all time." there will be added: "It is not allowed to knowingly visit a fellow member in his or her daily life, except in case of a third grade apocalyptic event as defined in article 8 section C.". All agree that this only reflects current practice, and the motion is carried with two abstinations. Robin thinks it should be "at all times". The Statutory Committee will take a look at it, but it is remarked that 'Clippy is not a member here …'.
6. New members. One Garbage Man has shown an interest and has asked for more information. The application of the Waffler (with his griddle of justice) has been rejected with only 1 vote in favour.
7. Question time. Iron Man asks what's the latest on Catwoman. Several members testify that she is currently in heat. Robin wants to know if there is an interest in ballpoint pens with "Justice League" on them. The meeting can't see who they should hand those out to, and responds with indifference.
8. Meeting is closed.
