Chapter One: A Seed of Evil

It was late at night in Manehatten, when the good ponies of Pegadox Interactive unleashed a tidal wave of evil accidentaly. Tonight was the night where they were releasing a new update to their game of Celaris, which was praised very highly by many ponies.

Videogames were a quite recent addition to the entertainment market, and Cellaris was one that had caught the eye of many potential consumers. Including the CMC.

"Do we have everything?" Scootalo asked the other crusaders, as they sat in the Everfree Forest, trying to finish their latest plan.

"Yep! We have the Psi Jump Drive," Said Sweetie Belle, pointing towards a large piece of machinery.

"A Psi-capable entity," She continued, as said Psi-capable entity yelled at them.

"LET ME GO YOU LITTLE %$& !%#$!^#*^$* #(!"

"And we have the instructions here," She finished.

"Good. Ah think that's it. Time to summon the Composer of Strands."

"Commune, not summon. We aren't bringing the Composer of Strands here, we are just talking to her."

"Oh I see."

The three would-be cultists raised their hooves, and started chanting strange chants, and the sky twisted. A huge portal opened up, and out of it emerged humungous warships made of pure energy.

"Great." Said Sweetie Belle. "We summoned Extradimensional Invaders."

It was a bright and sunny day as Discord retconnned reality. Truly, the CMC were the most destructive force ever to exist. He had retconned reality 5 times this morning simply trying to prevent the end of the world.

Finally having found a way to stop them, he decided to have a bit of fun.

This game, Celaris, looked quite interesting- to someone more patient than he was. And he knew someone just like that…

-Linebreak-

As Twilight awoke from her slumber, she noticed something quite strange. There was a computer still on, with a strange program covering the middle of the screen.

Celaris was written in the top-left corner, and there were three tabs beneath some notices about the news. There was also a rapidly flashing note stuck to the screen, with a scary clown face spinning around and around. The note said;

TO: McBoringTalker

FROM: Your friend, the most handsome individual ever.

I found this game while on a morning walk last night. I would like you to play it.

She rolled her eye's at the note. It was obviously from Discord, but that didn't matter. He was reformed now, so it isn't like playing it was a bad idea.

She blinked, realising that she actually just thought that, and shook her head.

"Fine." She said. "I'll play it. But if anything bad happens, I am blaming it on you."

With these words, she began the game.

Various scenes appeared before her, as a bar at the bottom filled up over time, until it reached 100%.

Now there were various options on a bar down the bottom, with the one labeled New Game as obviously the best choice.

Selecting New Game, a variety of Preset empires came up on the right. At the top was the empire called the Diarchy of Equestria, which represented Equestria, and below that was the Ancient Equestrian Council, which seemed to be some sort of Alternate Reality where the Princesses didn't come into power. Underneath those were more empires, but Twilight stopped reading so as not to spoil any story the game might have.

She decided to pick the Diarchy of Equestria, as that was obviously the best option for a new player.

Reading through the galaxy options carefully, she decided to keep them default, and finally hit PLAY.
