Music Will Always Fill Your Mind
Paris, France 1874,
Let
your mind start a journey through a strange new world
Leave all
thoughts of the life you knew before
Let your soul take you where
you want to be
Only then can you belong to me...
It was the third time this week Emily had woken up from having that dream of him. It was the same man who had filled music in her mind what seemed so long ago. He had taught her to sing and how to love music more than anything. He was the man who had secretly stolen her heart a long time ago. He was once known as the infamous, Phantom of the Opera.
Emily had been a poor maid working at Opera Populaire. Her mother had died when she was born and her father had died when she had turned ten. Emily had moved to Opera Populaire when she was only 11 years old. She was one of the hardest workers and was known by everyone inside the opera house. When she had turned 14 the Phantom had given her the most precious gift of all, her voice. He had become her Angel of Music.
It had been five years since that faithful night when the Phantom of the Opera burned Opera Populaire to the ground. Before the strange events had occurred, Emily had lived a good life at the opera house. It was always filled with music and song. The Phantom had been Emily's closest friend and had showed her a whole new world with music. He had taught her how to play his magnificent organ and his beautiful violin. Emily excelled like no other, but hid her talents from the world fearing to be rejected by all the aristocrats.
Now Emily worked silently in a local bar as a waitress trying to survive in the real world where none of her talents would be useful. She worked hard like she had always done and never complained. She was beautiful like no other and every man in Paris wanted her. Some of the richest men offered her the world, yet she always denied them for some unknown reason.
One day faith stepped in when Emily was walking home on a cold night to a little room she rented out. As she was walking she heard the voice that sang while she peacefully slept:
I
am your Angel ...
Come to me: Angel of Music ...
Emily instantly froze. He had returned! Emily took a deep breath trying to calm her racing heart. She sang softly back:
Angel,
oh, speak
What endless longings
Echo in this whisper!
Silence filled the dusky alley. Hope began to slowly fade away. Her Angel of Music had left her once again. Emily bowed her head and continued her journey home. Suddenly a gloved hand took her hand and pulled her straight into a pair of strong arms. She slowly turned her head to find her Angel of Music looking at her lovingly. She lifted her hand up to his unmasked cheek and began to stroke it softly. "Angel," she whispered.
"Come back to me my Angel and let me fill music in your mind once again. The music of the night will never be over as long as I am with you." He then whispered into her ear, "Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before." Emily nodded and they returned to the world where music filled both their minds and souls, a world where music will always fill your mind; the kingdom where all must pay homage to music.
