"Do you think he'll still love me?"
Maria's face was streaked with tears as she took in a ragged voice "Im sure he will"
I buried my face in my hands "I-I can't" Maria put her arm around me, "He has to know Catherine, It'll be worse if you wait"
"How can it be worse? Either way Im dying" More tears ran down my face. "Stop saying that please Cathy" Maria begged crying,
"Where is he?" I wiped at my eyes.m
"He's in the locker room" Maria cleared her throat and frowned.
" 'Kay" I already felt a new lump forming in my throat.
"John?"
He looked up, Smiling brightly "Hey Catherine!" He motioned for me to sit on his lap. I sat down and tried to swallow the lump in my throat.
"Johnny, I have to talk to you" I blinked back tears.
"What is it?" He asked "Oh! But first I have some news"
"Well what is it?" I asked
"I'm winning the title at Summerslam!" He grinned ear to ear as I tried to force a smile but the tears started pouring down my face.
"Cathy?" He asked. His smile melting into a frown as he wiped the tears running down my face.
"John I-" I could barely speak my words were breaking.
"Catherine tell me! I promise you we can get through it" That's when he broke me. This was the one time we wouldn't be able to get through it.
"No, W-We C-Can't" My voice was shaking.
"YES! Yes we can Cathy"
"John, I-"
"Catherine?" He asked concern filling his blue eyes,
"Its Cancer..." My voice broke
"What?" John was still lost.
"I have Cancer John, Terminal Cancer"
