Window to the Heart

His eyes open.

Slowly.

A vibrant azure peeks from beneath a fan of graceful black lashes, and yet, this isn't what draws ones attention. No, were anyone to see him in that rare occasion when he went without the ever-present eye patch, they would immediately lock onto the other eye. The verdant, beautiful, if ever unusual eye.

Swirled and almost too bright, churning with the most lavish pinks and purples that could ever grace ones vision. Not calm and clear like the sky, but a mesh of beautiful streaming colors like those of the most enigmatic sunset to ever light up the sky.

They say one's eyes are the window to their very soul, and for him it is with no small amount of irony.

In the depths of those pretty lavender clouds, the pentacle traced there may as well be etched into his soul as well. Fate had a way of laughing at him that would have made a weaker man nervous.

To Ciel, perhaps this wasn't to be warranted as a bad omen. After all, he'd rather the contract be etched into his very being.

The thought of a demon, bound to you 'till the day your game of chess comes to an end, would have made a lesser man scream.

To Ciel, the closer his servant, the better. After all, this kind of closeness couldn't be achieved by mortals if they were given a hundred lifetimes to perfect it.

So, the shackles fate threw over his small wrists were taken with dignity. At the end of the day, and every other day to come until the end of his life, he would hold his head high, give her a saucy smirk, and hold those bonds close to his heart. Every day, until those shackles dissolved away, and he was a part of Sebastian.

I'm honestly not sure where this came from. It's highly confusing and symbolic; if you have a question just let me know. –sigh- I was in strange form today. Truly, my mind confuses me too guys… ^-^;
