"It's okay," she said, "I'll go first,"

I watched silently as one by one they walked to what they thought was the Replacator home planet, where they would work on creating human bodies for them to exist in; but really they were walking into subspace, to freeze.

I sat on my bed, I had slept though breakfast, but I didn't care. I had spent most of the night dreaming of her, then wakening up, only to realize that she was not there, and she never would be.

Thinking about what had happened yesterday; it was almost like losing her all over again. Part of me wanted to reach out and grab her, take her in my arms and not let her go. I felt torn up, like a wound I though healed but was torn up again the moment I realized…

'It's not her,' I told myself 'the real Elizabeth died a long time ago; this is just a computer version of her conscious.' Telling myself this didn't really help much, knowing that I came close to having a version of her back again…even if it wasn't the real her, but yet I wanted the real Elizabeth Weir, to hold her flesh and blood in my arms, to run my fingers though her brown locks….not some Replacator replacement. 'I am so confused…' I felt my eyes mist up a bit as I looked out the window from my room and sighed. Then I heard knocking on the door. Scratching my eyes and clearing my throat I called.

"Come in,"

"John?" it was Teyla

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Will you join us for lunch; you must be hungry, I believe it is meatloaf,"

"Yeah, I'm coming," I stood up from my bed and followed Teyla out the door waving my hand to shut the door.

"Are you doing alright John?" Teyla asked

"Not really," I replied, it is hard to lie to Teyla, "But I'll get over it," and we continued down the hall in silence.

"Back on our world, they say if you break a bone twice in the same place it heals faster then it did the second time, I don't know if it is true, but I think I am going to be relying on that to get me through this,"

"Don't forget John," Teyla said stopping him in the middle of the hallway. "You have us to," and she gave me a hug, which I gladly returned.

"Thanks Teyla, I needed that,"

"Don't mention it," she said "Ready for lunch?"

"Yep, I think I can make it," I answered

"Arightey then," and we walked side by side to the cafeteria.
