FERB'S P.O.V.

We're sitting under the tree, the haunted house having disappeared. I can tell you have something on your mind, and I fear it is the same thing that is haunting my own thoughts. Luckily, your question proves me wrong.

"What do you think the scariest part was, Ferb?" I cannot answer truthfully, as so go with what was the weirdest thing instead. "Definitely the floating baby head."

As you question this, I can't help but notice that you seem tenser than usual. And for good reason. The same reason that keeps me from telling you what scared me the most.

Because you're uneasy after almost falling a good two-stories, at least, to the ground from the haunted house. Had it not been for Isabella's quick thinking, you could have been hurt. Or worse, although I refuse to think of that. Instead, I berate myself for not doing anything.

Yet I know you too well for you to easily brush this aside, and I know that sooner or later, you're going to be facing the horror you felt again. Except this time, I will be there to catch, little brother. I promise.

XXXXXXX

I wake in the middle of the night just as you do, both awoken by your nightmare. You don't have nightmares too often, and I know that you were dreaming of today's mishap. You don't notice that I'm awake, you just curl up, trembling.

"Phineas?" I call softly, and you jump, startled, waking up Perry, who, upon seeing your distressed state, chatters uneasily. You, on the other hand, give me a sheepish look, yet it only takes eye contact with you to make my mind up 100%. "Come on," I say as I lift the covers, and you waste little time in crawling into my bed, still shivering. "It was about today, wasn't it?"

You just nod, and I pull you in closer, rubbing your back to soothe you after figuring it was the fastest way to calm you down after a nightmare. Perry jumps up on the bed and wedges himself between us, chattering softly.

It takes a while, but slowly you drift off to sleep. I stay awake longer, tormented by my thoughts.

"He's going to get hurt someday," I tell Perry, who just snuggles in tighter to you. "He almost did get hurt today. And it's my fault. I'm the older brother. I should have been the last one out, not him. It should have been me."

You just continue to sleep, and Perry chatters once more. You mumble in your sleep, and suddenly my worries are lessened, at least for now. I was able to drift off to sleep, knowing that you were safe, at least for now.

But I would never tell you that the scariest part had been seeing you fall.

AND DONE! Seriously, people, there are NOT enough stories for that episode! I mean, COME ON! Had it not been for Isabella and the Fireside Girls, Phineas would have gotten seriously hurt! And there is no way I'm believing that Ferb actually thought the scariest thing was the floating baby head. He probably just didn't want Phinny feeling guilty, and we all know he would have, because come on, people, it's Phineas. He does that.

Now, please review. And, if you feel up, here's a challenge to all those with accounts. I want you to pick your favorite episode that offers a good Phineas/Ferb brotherly bonding scene and write a fic on it. It doesn't have to be long, or having a plot. Just make it somewhat cute and fluffy. Mostly because Phineas and Ferb seems to be of the more visited sections, but one that's a little lacking with fics.

And because I kinda love reading fics with the brothers bonding. It's just so cute!
