"You don 't have the guts to try something with me anyway!" Akane teased.
"Oh, yeah?" Ranma jumped to his feet, holding his body in a battle stance. Akane giggled.
"I dare you," she smirked.
"You dare me to do what?" Ranma grumbled, relaxing his arms and leaning against the wall of the dojo.
"I dare you to kiss me."
"What?!"
"I knew you wouldn't do it. You're too chicken!"
"Am not!"
"Fine then. Kiss me," Akane said, pressing a band-aid onto Ranma's nose.
"You mean it, Akane?" Ranma's eyes widened. Akane shrugged.
"Go ahead. It's not like it means anything," Akane lied, mostly to herself.
"Well, okay..." Ranma scooted across the floor so he was seated directly in front of Akane. "Close your eyes."
Ranma leaned in close to Akane and turned his head slightly to the side. He shivered as he felt her warm breath om his cheek. I can't do this.
"A-Akane, you know...you should really only do this with someone you like and...I..."
"So you're saying that I'm not good enough for you?" Akane looked away.
"No! I mean, well...are you sure you're okay with it...?"
"Yes," Akane choked out.
"Close your eyes again."
Ranma leaned in closer this time, their faces only centimetres apart. Akane cold feel his prescence- her stomach turned over with anxiety.
"Just do it, Ranma," she whispered.
Akane felt something brush her lips. Is he really...? Akane sat cross-legged on the dojo floor until what seemed like forever. Finally, Ranma's touch left her lips. When Akane opened her eyes, he was gone.
"Ranma Saotome...kissed me."
