Happy New Years!
A Soul and Kidd fic
Hey everyone! I just wanted to wish u all a Happy New Year with a new fic.
Lord Death sent the entire academy to Times Square for News Years. Why? Only he knows.
Soul, Maka, Tsubaki, Black*Star, Kidd, Liz, and Patti were hanging out in the massive crowd that had gathered to see the ball drop. Hours went by as they waited for midnight. The group mostly didn't care for the performers, but they were dancing to the songs.
At 15 til midnight, the people around the group were being crazy fans. With all the screaming and the loud music, it was hard for Soul to hear the comments of his friends.
At the moment, Soul was trying to hear what Kidd was saying. Kidd leaned close to Soul so that his mouth was near Soul's ear. "Can I dance with you?" Kidd asked loudly, while attempting to hide the hint of red that he knew was forming on his face.
"Oh. Uh, sure. You can dance with me," Soul replied, beginning to blush as well.
Everyone knew Kidd and Soul had feelings for each other except them.
Kidd and Soul start grinding against each other to the beat of the music. Soul begins to wonder what he's feeling toward Kidd as he seemingly hugs Kidd as they are dancing.
As the clock hit a minute to midnight, Kidd turned toward Soul. "Soul, I need to tell you something."
"What is it Kidd?" Soul asks in a curious tone of voice.
10… 9… 8… 7…6…
"I…l-l…" Kidd stutters.
2… 1
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As everyone celebrates, Kidd grabs hold of Soul and plants a kiss on his unsuspecting lips. Soul is shocked at first but soon kisses back.
When they separate, they realize that every one of their friends are staring at them, especially when they scream, "FINALLY!"
Soul pulls Kidd in close as he says the words he has wanted to say since the day he met Kidd, "I love you."
