Syx went into the hospital, normally he was afraid of the people there present to see his appearance but not now, he was more concerned of Roxanne. After what the twelve year old had heard and seen on the television, he told himself that he needed to see it with his own eyes. He thinks that this is just a trick. But that wasn't the case. He begged the Warden to bring to the hospital for a visit which he hesitantly agreed. Only now did he regret his decision…
She was on her own; reports have already announced that she was out of the trance. She then looked up from the article she was reading and her face twisted into an unknown expression that Syx has never seen, he mostly assumed that she was unfamiliar with him. He then asked whether he could go nearer to her. Which he did with the guards behind him. This 'new' Roxanne looked timid and horrified at the same time. He smiled weakly at her. "Roxanne?" "Who…who are you?" she stuttered. "Remember me? Your best friend? Syx? The one who gave you that bracelet?" He pointed out. She then looked the glowing piece but still there was no recollection in her memory of him. She then looked at him as if to say that she was sorry. "I'm sorry, but I just don't know who you are. You must be mistaking me for someone else." His hopeful smile became crestfallen. "You don't remember me?" "No, I don't" was her final reply.
Syx's shoulders slumped and he walked out of the hospital with the guards behind him. How could she not remember him? He was her best friend. Now, he felt that there was always a shadow hanging around him now, he can't seem to be happy without her. Now there was no one to help him or talk to him, about inventions or not. Except Minion. He sighed returning back from where he came from, with a heart filled with rejection and disappointment.
Ok, that was just a preview of what I'm gonna write and just to let you know in the first part they are all kids but then they become adults, don't worry, when the story's out you'll get the picture. Syx is actually Megamind if you guys didn't know, and I hope that those who did use this name, I'm sorry to use it ok? Please don't sue and I couldn't think of anything better.
