During world war II Joseph, Francis, Albert, Madison, and George Sullivan served on a U.S. Navy ship together. On November 13, 1942 their ship was sunk by Japanese submarine. All five brothers died...Dedicated In their memory.

"FIVE BROTHERS"

NOVEMBER 13, 1942

Five brothers strong and free joined the Navy together to sail the seven seas.

They were brave and did their best, for these five brothers were fighting for America's quest.

Five brothers closer than friends, sailed together all thru the ocean's bends.

They were determined and had their hearts set, on fighting for freedom, winning this war yet.

They said they "could make a team that nobody could beat;" those five brothers were better than any other sailor on the U.S. fleet.

Secret missions, fighting Jerrys and Japs, ever brave wearing proudly their Navy caps.

Then one day while sailing across the seas, they found themselves trapped in a circle of Japanese.

Bravely fighting on, giving all their blood and sweat, but the Japs won, for their torpedo caught deep within the sub's chest.

Joseph, Francis, Albert, fighting side by side, Madison and George, and the fearless team together they died…
