Simon Lloyd wants to say: "That's what I love about you. You can always see the best in people."

He doesn't. He quietly adores her for a moment, wishes he could tell her what he feels; but doesn't.

They're a double act. He knows it. He cherishes it. He fears it.

In want of total honesty, of confessions too strong to take back, he ponders asking her to join him. He doesn't know how.

He ponders who would pay, how making her laugh would become the aim of the night, how in eight hours his wife will be giving a speech.

Simon Lloyd actually says: "I'll see you tomorrow."
