This one is dedicated to Kannika, a runner-up in my contest. Your Kibaino oneshot.

Added AsuKure and Nejiten. Takes place over timeskip somewhere. I love this oneshot. Why? This oneshot is my first non-Nejiten-centric story and my first oneshot not in a collection. This oneshot is a first on many levels for me.

One may blame Yamanaka Ino's switch from Uchiha Sasuke to Inuzuka Kiba on many things, yet most calls are placed upon the marriage of Asuma and Kurenai and the closeness of Teams 8 and 10 afterwards, or popsicles.

"Hurry up, Asuma-sensei! Kurenai-sensei is getting popsicles!" Chouji said, taking off in a sprint, dragging a Nara by force behind him.

It was just like Chouji to rush when there was food involved.

Asuma sweatdropped.

Did his wife know about how much it would cost if the never-ending stomach yet kindhearted Akimichi was eating?

Ino smiled. She loved days like this…

Days where Chouji was getting excited about food, Shikamaru was being dragged by Chouji to food sources, Asuma was calculating how much it would cost to feed Chouji, Hinata and Kurenai-sensei were gathering food, Shino was being the loner he was, and Ino and her new friend, Kiba and her chatting up about whatever.

"… and then Shino made a bug clone and totally confused that Suna puppeteer!" Kiba exclaimed, licking his popsicle.

"What fight was that? The third?" Ino chuckled.

"Hey!" Kiba shouted, pointing over to a pair sitting on a huge fallen tree with popsicles, "It's the Hyuuga and Tenten!"

"Oi! You two on a date?" Kiba asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

Tenten blushed while Neji visibly stiffened.

"Just a team meeting!" Tenten exclaimed.

Ino raised an eyebrow, "Then where are Gai-sensei and Lee?"

"Hn," the Hyuuga smirked, "We told them to go get curry then meet us in front of the Kazekage's office..."

Kiba raised an eyebrow, "So you ditched them to go on a date?"

Ino grinned, "Oh that's hilarious. I've so got to try that with forehead-girl next time we eat lunch!"

A slight, vague and barely visible pink tinted Neji's cheeks, "Who would want to go on a date with-?"

Ino, fearing for Tenten's pride, took her popsicle and shoved it in Neji's face.

Kiba slightly chuckled and Ino and Tenten giggled, while Neji stood there, pretending he didn't care.

"Oi! Ino, we should get back to our teams!" Kiba said.

"Sayonara!" Tenten waved, taking a napkin and cleaning up the mess on Neji's face.

Kiba let out a huge chuckle once he thought he was out of Hyuuga Neji's Byakugan range as Ino laughed loudly.

The duo started walking towards the picnic.

Hinata handed them homemade cookies and smiled.

"Oi! Hinata! Your cousin looks so funny with popsicle all over his face!" Kiba chuckled.

Hinata's face turned pale, "Neji-nii-san will kill you, Kiba."

Asuma and Kurenai exchanged glances, smirking.

"That sure was fun!" Ino said, "Next time I see billboard-forehead though, she'll be the one with popsicle all over her face! Thanks for walking me home, Kiba!"

Kiba nodded, taking Ino's hand.

"Ino... can I ask you something?" Kiba asked.

Ino nodded.

"Ino, next time, can we ditch our teams?" Kiba asked.

Ino got what he was saying and nodded.

Footsteps were heard behind them.

The duo turned to see... a CERTAIN HYUUGA!

"Hn... Yamanaka, Inuzuka, I saw you two laughing with my Byakugan."

Uh oh.

"JYUUKEN!"

In case you didn't get it, by saying ditch their teams, Kiba asked Ino on a date. I like this one. It's pretty funny. Cept, at the end, not for Kiba and Ino! lol

Aww man, they might not survive for their date:( Naw, Neji won't hurt them! Too badly...
